He's Back!

CHICAGO -- It is not exactly the type of offensive upgrade the Chicago White Sox were looking for at the non-waiver trade deadline, but the team did announce Saturday that they had signed Dayan Viciedo to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte.

The former White Sox slugger, who was largely a disappointment during his five seasons on the South Side, has already opted out of minor league deals with the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics this year. He was released by the White Sox this past offseason.

Go ahead and explain....

I guess he needs to hook up with Carlos' pharmacist.

A lot of people seem to forget just how good Carl Everett was for the Sox in 2005. He absolutely carried that offense the first 6 or 8 weeks of that season. Konerko's avg was under .200 well into May. The Sox probably would not have won the division in 2005 if they didn't have Crazy Carl.
