The Cubs’ annual $500,000 contribution to CubFund will this year support the installation of new street lights on Sheffield Avenue (3200N – 3600N blocks), Wilton Avenue (3200N block), School Street (900W block) and Patterson Avenue (1100W block).

CubFund, established in 2004 as part of the Neighborhood Protection Plan, is directed by Alderman Tom Tunney and the City of Chicago and calls for contributions to be allocated for infrastructure projects in and around the Lakeview neighborhood. To date, CubFund has funded millions of dollars in infrastructure projects in our community. In previous years, CubFund has funded traffic lights, as well as lighting on Wayne, Greenview and Janssen avenues, and Byron and Grace streets. With the renewal of the Neighborhood Protection Plan in 2013, CubFund is slated to contribute an additional $3.75 million dollars to projects in the Lakeview community through 2023.

Imagine that, a team giving money to an area instead of taking it. Curious Hair should be happy.

My driveway needs repaving. It's kinda like a parking lot. Where do I sign up?

Step 1 - Donate (Payoff) to every politician in Illinois
Step 2 - Request residential paving program
Step 3 - Move cars

I can repave it myself for less. I was just looking for a free handout.

The State wasn't allowed to bring its agent.

While this should be in the 'Capital Improvement" plan, I dont put anything past this scame of an agency ISFA.

Do such tubes exceed $4.5 M?

Good call.

On the open market, the value of that real estate must be in the double digit millions.
