ok i know this is technically the national SPORTS media sub-board, but i also know there's a running/rolling stern thread on here and there's at least a handful of ex/stern-guys on the board (and i'd consider myself one cuz when i got gifted a sirius satellite radio for christmas 2005 i was down til appx 2008, aka the "good" years of the show, otherwise known as "the years howard tried to put on a good show cuz he had subscriber-#-based-contract-incentives to reach") AHEM, and yeah, i think anyone who was ever a stern guy into the 2000s (read: artie era) will absolutely love this...

evidently gilbert gottfried has a podcast, and while i know nothing about it tonight my brother pointed out that there's an episode of the podcast with artie lange on it, and it's fucking awesome! if you remember the relative-halcyon-days of legend and lore back when artie was still on the show (aka a human being who still has a soul, junkie or otherwise.... obviously fred doesn't count cuz he's fred and he's been mailing it in for years now) back when gilbert would visit and sit in on the news they'd often riff on various topics and go on and on and on being silly offensive and most importantly FUNNY until howard or robin piped up and moved them on..... welp there is no howard and/or robin on this podcast so they can keep going as long as they want. it's awesome! i wont start telling you about all the different stuff in here, but rest assured there's plenty of mocking tracy morgan with bonus conspiracy theories and of course mentions to how they're just 2 guys not allowed on the stern show anymore doing a podcast.

top shelf stuff here.... bust it out when company comes over! if you weren't up on this already, i'm glad i could help! *tips ARTIE LANGE'S BEER LEAGUE hat*

btw that link up there is directly to the podcast/artie-episode directly. it's on soundcloud so you can stream it or download it.... and i'm pretty sure downloads are formally enabled so you can just click download right there on the page (or if they arent, there's wonderful "soundcloud downloader" browser extensions for chrome and firefox and prolly even IE that ensure that the download button always pops up on each and every song/mix/show/thing on soundcloud. highly wreck-*honk honk*-o-mended

The Artie Years were my favorite...no matter how many times I heard how he drove to Delaware to get coke or heroin or whatever he had going at that time.

It was heroin. The coke years were when he was in L.A, doing Mad TV.

The Jackie years were the best. I crack up when I hear his goofy laugh.

i liked how they teased jackie better than jackie himself. artie was a much more entertaining side guy, for the stories and the fights with various guys, including dice.

I'm all in on that as well. Especially great when Fred would throw in a Jackie laugh at appropriately inappropriate times.

I think that's why I very much enjoy when B&B just goes into idiot stream of consciousness conversation for a stretch.
