the most DANGEROUS producer in america, jason george goff, just hearkened the name of STEEL RESERVE 211.... TALLBOYS! and holy shit i can tell you guys if you're able to blunt your taste buds and/or you enjoy a taste that i've affectionately referred to as "metal ass" (out of the can anyways) --- get those fuckers near-freezing and steel reserve 211 is like a modern day GPS/google-maps cuz it gets you to where you're going, even if it's without even so much as a modicum of literal/figurative good taste.

anyways, i had to start up a thread cuz i needed an 8/4 thread to share my public lulz @ the mental image of the a4mentioned MOST DANGEROUS PRODUCER IN AMERICA, JASON GEORGE GOFF, driving around evanston looking for basketball games. i'd imagine it'd be just like a junkie driving around the westside looking for a decent dopespot (assuming their usual spot/s and/or people were out of commission) and around each corner is infinite potential to save the day and make those next 5 cigarettes MMMM-MMMMMMM GOOD (fucka campbells soup, or anyone last-named campbell who has the obligatory nickname of "soup" for that matter) and much like CH's longtime signature quote, the future holds the possibility to be great or terrible, and since it has not yet occurred it remains simultaneously both.... just like a fiending JGG driving around evanston circling the block like "HEY I SEE BLACK PPL! BROTHERS IN WHITE SHIRTS! *ROLLS DOWN WINDOW* YO HEY DUDE!!! OVER HERE!!! YEAH Y'ALL RUN 4S RIGHT? YOU RUN 4S?!?!"

*BLAM*

JGG catches the business end of a miscommunication because the ppl he was hollaring at weren't down with the 4CH =(

all kidding aside, yeah, today is the dawning of the age of tuesday like a motherfucker. our boy DANGER is heading down to bourbonnais to spend the night (ribs notwithstanding) so we gotta issue a 5 ALARM ALERT TO THE BITCHES OF BOURBONNAIS: BE WARNED, THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SPECIES PERPETUATION IS FORECASTING AN IMMINENT GERTHQUAKE TONIGHT WITH READINGS EXPECTED TO BE AS HIGH AS 8.8 AND AS LOW AS 6.9!!!!! BE WARNED FATHERS OF BOURBONNAIS, NO DAUGHTER IS SAFE TONIGHT THEN THE SCORE'S RESIDENT PIMP/PLAYER ULTRABACK-OF-A-HOST COMES DOWN AND SPENDS THE NIGHT!!!

oh yeah terry and dan are in and they're gonna talk about things and make fun of idiot callers. yeah. anyways dont mind me i gotta go drive around skokie and search for some uhhhh, basketball games . yeah. nevermind that time i once bought crack on a 250 bus headed to evanston and the guy told me where the spot was in evanston (right by the HS, it turns out) i'm in this for the basketball and i'm gonna drive around and ask every random "urban" looking person i see if they know where i can run some 4-on-4 fullcourt basketball games cuz i aint gonna get done like our boy DANGER when he's thirsty for a fix of serving everyone at god's game.

HEARD AROUND MY HOUSE JUST NOW....

sini IRL wrote:

yeah i guess that san fran outlawed smokeless tobacco at all ballparks around the municipality and that's not just ye olde "vapes' but also chewing tobacco, which is as much a part of baseball as [insert ye olde time tradition here, preferably from terry's "old country"] and when there is a sacred cow to knock down a peg REST ASSURED DAN BERNSTEIN WILL BE THERE TO BOLDLY TAKE OUR HAND AND SHOW US A NEW WAY!

so i gues madison "bum" bumgarner is a bigtime dipper literally from terry's "old country" and he is none too pleased that he can't (legally/formally) "chew" at his own damn ballpark. and dan doesnt care because it's EVIL, it's VILE, and it's a problem that needs to be rooted out of baseball! PROGRESS HOOOOOO! GRATUITOUS SHOT AT CONSPIRITARDS!!!! DAN IS ON FIIIIIYYYYAHHHH TODAY!!!!

idk about you, but i tune into b&b for the latest in cutitng edge social progress because when i have the show on i am at the forefront of a brave new world/tomorrow that only an audacious conceptual artist like dan bernstein can DARE to envision/behold TODAY. in this case i hope they get rid of cracker jack (cuz who the fuck eats those carmelized shit-nuggets of, well, nuggety shit?) and peanuts make a mess so get rid of those.... time to grow up! it's 2015 and you're no longer an obnoxious kid and you're prolly one of don tiny's good upstanding people so open up your wallet and "buy a damn hotdog" - dan bern$tein, and terry chimes in that tony gwynn could tell you about the evils of chewing tobacco..... IF HE WAS STILL ALIVE TO TELL YOU! (faint "OH SNAPS!" heard in the background!)

anyways terry mentionign that montero plans to see "AL ballplayer" kyle schwarber take some of his time, so i cant wait to see what dan thinks about schwarber stayign with the cubs despite his issues @ the catcher position because then 1-2 mins later it will also be terry's thoughts, of course caked/blanketed in uhhhs and ummmms and "in point of fact"-s.... ask JORR!

yeah dude, if playing on that shitty turf in montreal takes years off of your career then you figure constantly squatting by default (and obviously raising up and back down up and back down up and back down) has gotta take at least 5-10 years off of your career.

by that metric someone like piazza or pudge rodriguez could/should have been able to go well into their mid 40s as DHs or something, but hey who's to say if the steroid crackdown doesn't factor into things they wouldnt have been able to be a decent/ish end-of-career-frank-thomas (in OAK/TOR) type DH until 43, 44, or 45? franco still player-manages semi-pro @ age 54, right? =D

altho i have to admit that when dan rails against "dunderhead columns' he 100.0% TOTALLY knows what he's talking about cuz call it a hunch he's seen quite a few "dunderhead columns" in his day.... probably in the "columns" folder on his mac.

Bernstein's tough non-homer analysis of Cub prospects:

If they're not doing well: "HE'S JUST A ROOKIE!!!!!!!

If they are doing well: "This kid, this kid is a thing. What I'm hearing from my sources is Babe Ruth but if Ruth was really, really good."

I was particularly fond of Danny football today regarding Jared Allen. Terry was spot on we don't know how he will be used or how he can do. Bernsie all don't even give me peppers comps Allen was just a fourth round pick! As if that matters now.

*SIGH* Look, a lot of people still don't understand what the Cubs did here, uh, eh, eh, again, Theo Epstein he built, he built a world series winning team from scratch, and uh, eh, eh, in point of fact, the Core Four are the best players ever assembled, and I've been around this game a long time, a loooooong time, eh, eh, eeeee, the Cubs they're a thing, so get ready, they're going to be a contender for years to come, they have Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber for the love of God, that's two guys who are better than any one guy on other teams, you'd have to go back to Manny and Ortiz to find anything like, maybe Ruth and Gehrig, maybeeeee, I don't know, but I'm just sayin' watch what these two guys do.

Oh no now what

Roasted a CBS hockey writer that wrote Sidney Crosby is still the best player in the NHL. He was pissed the writer didn't quote Fenwick or CORSI.

Quote:
When Toews goes several games in the playoffs without a goal (and it happens) it rarely impacts the Blackhawks in a negative way because they have so many other players who can pick up the slack offensively to keep the team moving along. When Crosby hits a similar drought and the team loses because the lackluster supporting cast can't score, it all comes back to him not leading enough or not coming through in big games.

He got really pissy about the above statement even though it's 100% true. Surprising to see him put on his Larmer jersey and become a homer hockey meatball.

Yeah, that's all true. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tavares usurp Crosby as the best player in the league, though. I think his time is coming. Ovechkin had a window where he was the best player in the league but I don't think that's going to happen again.

I tune in after the 2nd half and all I hear from B&B are reasons the Bears should not be implementing a 3-4, because they don't have the personnel for it.

3-13 here we come.

Uh, look, I, I, I, I watched this guy in Tampa for years, and uh, eh, and, uh, the things he did down there, they were, they were just, just great, but, but, but, I mean look, he did the whole magic thing here last month, but for the love of God, WE WERE PROMISED MONKEYS AND PENGUINS!!!!!!!

I am not sure what their timeframe was, probably now but they said a moron only would start a team with Sid over Toews.

my wife has never paid 1 iota of attention to this show. yesterday as we were driving back from lincoln NE, she was reading but I guess also listening a bit. She goes….It sounds like that one guy has no idea what he's talking about and is just talking. He's made no point other than regurgitating something the other guy said. This was when they were talking about Avisail Garcia. I told her he probably couldn't pick the guy out of a lineup.

Sid was the captain on the Canadian team in the 2014 Olympics. B&B must think that Mike Babcock is a moron.
