Of course there's nuance to his statement as well. It's not just black and white, Frank.

Combine the "its gonna happen" with the feeling of "there is no difference between winning 65 games and 85 games" mantra and you have your answer, Joe Orr. Of course, this is not all Cubs fans, but its certainly more than half...at least.

It's ironic, isn't it? For the last four years there was no difference between winning 65 and winning 85, but this year they're jizzing themselves over winning 85.

You must be the top contributor on this imaginary message board you speak of.

Dude, you've got your cock in your hand and a picture of Kyle Schwarber in front of you right now. Put it away quick! Your boss is coming!

Safety Tip #2
I have a .gif of Babe Ruth and Schwarber hitting HR's in another thread. You might want to view that one in the company bathroom on your Iphone.

The Cardinals went on to win a World Series title one season after winning just 83 games in the regular season....

How is that White Sox playoff run working out for all the 45 Sox fans left on board.

one could start a thread "Why are Sox fans so jealous?" ......but I think we know why. Sustained excellence is just about to begin. It's pretty good now. But as the song said "the best is yet to come".

of course not ... you have three CyYoung's, the Cuban Babe Ruth, the BEST manager, trainer and pitching coach in MLB history, and the front office duo of Kenny and Khahn are on top of it all... and don't that endless loaded farm system..... and that 187-244 record over the last 2 and 2/3 seasons is stellar.

Enjoy the #WinNOW and #Reload.

Sox are Almost through year 3 of a five year rebuild through the draft. Should see some signs next year.

I'm sure jimmypasta and THE INQUISITOR can remember when the "Core Four" consisted of Ken Hubbs, Glen Hobbie, Dick Drott, and Moe Drabowsky. Did you really think it was as easy as replacing your WASPy front office with a bunch of Jewish guys?

Who are "they" that you speak of?

Core four

Almora
Solar
Bryant
Rizzo

Rizzo and Bryant are All-Stars. Solar has been average and Almora a disappointment. No one was saying they were all going to be All-Stars. I am happy with the players Theo has drafted and traded for. Arrieta, Rizzo and Russell were absolute steals.

Just give it up already. Cubs are relevant again and Sox fans hate it.

I guess I don't understand why the Cubs are limited to the 'core four'. Why can't they have 7 guys?

Schwarber wasn't on the original list, but didn't need much minor league time. Baez was probably on this list a year ago.

Obviously, not all of these guys are going to be all-stars or even major league players, but they have a ridiculous system.

As a White Sox fan, I'm not jealous of what the Cubs are doing. I do think they are doing it in a way that should last while the White Sox continue to patch together a team that will be better in some years than others, but won't be consistently good.

I was giving JORR his original core 4 list. He said Cub fans cant remember who they are, so I listed them for him. I wrote later that there are actually 6 or 7 core players.

"I'M NOT JEALOUS OF THE CUBS".....the fact that you need to claim you're not says something.
I promise you there is no person on the planet feeling the need to make a statement that they're not jealous of the Kenny Williams crew.

1. A huge local fan base.

2. A huge national fan base.

3. Wrigley Field

4. Wrigleyville

5. Pretty girls in the stands.

6. The best minor league system in MLB.

7. Real MLB PBP announcers

8. A real management team.

9 A great MLB roster loaded with talent.

10. The #2 tourist attraction in the state.

Other than that, yea...no reason for Sox fans to have Cubs envy.
