The CUBS obsessed but self proclaimed clear eyed JORR has said for the last three years that Ricketts and Theo were CONNING all of you Cub fans but you couldn't see it.

So please tell me how do you feel today about being CONNED?
Or would rather just be KHAHNED year after year?

It was more than 3 years ago on here before the start of the 2012 season where I questioned the wisdom of "tanking" a season with the addition of the 5th WC.

I was not conned. I advocated for blowing the team up during the Hendry regime. I did not like the big money signings of Soriano and Bradley or the re-signing of Sosa along with others. This is the only issue where I am in complete agreement with Rozner. I want a team built from the ground up instead of trying to buy a title. I like the sustainability of the Plan.

You can't be conned when management comes out and tells you what they are going to do . Being conned means you were fooled by management.

When the cubs win something, get back to us.

Until then, keep singing "go cubs go".

The Subject title is so bad that I can't decide if this a Ligue bit or a person with CTE.

Seeing as how it was posted by the board's NUMBER 1 CUBS FAN I'm going with the latter.

There were plenty of people who said the Cubs were not tanking those three years. Then Theo pronounced this year that they were finally trying to win, implying he was not trying to win in years 1-3. The narrative changed that it was acceptable for them to tank.

There may be a debate over what "tanking" means but other than Scum-Times employees I think most baseball fans understood why they weren't trying field a team that might win 70 games instead of 60.

The thing that cracks me up is that it's almost as if White Sox fans feel better about trying to be good and being horrible vs planning on being horrible and trending up each year.
Theo took over for the 2012 season. Since then here's the win totals.
Cubs Wins
2012 - 61 / 2013 - 66 / 2014 - 73 / 2015 so far 62
White Sox Wins
2012 - 85 / 2013 - 63 / 2014 - 73 / 2015 so far 52

Purposely losing entire seasons before they begin is abhorrent to the entire concept of sports. It shouldn't be rewarded and definitely not applauded

Please review the records above once more and rethink your outrage.

I have enough outrage to fill up an entire league of GMs but that is not really the point

Wondering how it feels to be conned for 10 years and counting.

'We are going for it this year, because we are the White Sox and thats what we do...so buy some tickets to Norwegian Day!"

JR has been attempting to con since the minute he took the team. We are wise to it and don't attend but then have to fandom shaming

No, when he took over he tried to do what Ricketts is doing. New Mascots, new facility, new players,.....all this sound familar? Southsiders said Fuck YOU, so he ignored them and decided to just do whatever he wanted....thus you get Jerrys Drinking Buddies Softball Team. All his friends and friends of friends, are employed everywhere. join for Life.

I think the Cubs were pretty transparent about what they were doing. When trade deadlines approached, we knew all but the young pieces were liable to be dealt for more young prospects and to ensure great draft position. It's all paying off now, and it's only going to get better. How does it feel to be jealous?

it just shows how dumb the ricketts are. if you really wanted to play a mental game, tell everyone you are restructuring, and sell it as "enjoy the lovable losers you all used to love". there would have been less pressure on the players than the indians had in the movie major league. people would have come out in droves to flood the bleachers like the 80's, and they probably would have won more games anyway.

Ike South, the guy in the Wisconsin bar, driving his beat up 1992 chevy caprice telling anyone who will listen how dumb the billionaires are...then completes the story with "hey, can you get this round?"

if Ike were born a Ricketts, he would be as much of a billionaire as the one's who run the Cubs

The smart Ricketts is governor of Nebraska. Joe sent his other kids away to live in Gomorrah with the rest of us sinners.
