It has to be the CSFMB's own JORR.

Be prepared for board members and other delightful Cubbie fans blaming it all on you when the Cardinals keep winning.

Welcome to your life being ruined by a group of desperate dilettantes.

I think almost all Cub fans absolve Bartman of blame and focus on Gonzalez and Wood. Many changed their tune in the years after.

Probably why the poor bastard is still in hiding.

JORR will be placing his pony bets from his home computer.

Gonzo was to blame, not Bartmann.

Bartman gets blamed for nothing. Alex Gonzalez was the dumb ass. Along with Moises Alou.

There will be the stupid in any fan base. And if there's one network who targets them, it's ESPN.

30 for 30 is a solid series, though.

Alou wouldn't have caught that ball. He shouldn't have thrown a tantrum.

He was just upset because he had to go pee on his hands...too much PED-colada.

He still declines interviews and, while he is still a Cubs fan, has never returned to Wrigley.

Theo has a PLAN for Bartman too.

In a 2011 interview on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, Cubs President Theo Epstein expressed a desire for the team to reach out to Bartman. "From afar, it seems like it would be an important step. Maybe a cathartic moment that would allow people to move forward together. I'm all about having an open mind, an open heart and forgiveness. Those are good characteristics for an organization to have as well. He's a Cubs fan. That's the most important thing," said Epstein.

I hope he has a contingency plan for JORR.

I dont think you can say that definitively. It was on a trajectory for his glove, whether or not he comes down with it, we'll never know (until the time machine is completed.)

I think he does , I blame that buster shortstop Alex Gonzalez more ..but Bartman carries 6-8% of that loss on his narrow shoulders.

Will Theo let him use the gorilla suit so he can go to a Cubs playoff game?

hey rozner, this is what i've been trumpeting ever since this season came around! i've been trying to tell the sox fans of the board that they should delight in "the plan" coming to fruition and they should gladly welcome the cubs slowly but surely becoming prohibitive favorites to win everything in the universe at the start of every season because no matter now good-n-promising everything inexorably is/becomes, these are the chicago cubs we're talking about; they're still going to have to get over the hump known as "cubbie occurrences"

who knows how this team will fare in the playoffs when anything can happen over a short/er series? who knows how this team responds to pressure and legit adversity in the face of underachieving? (kris "babe" bryant already has shown that it's quite possible the hype can get to him, what with his ~21 games b4 hitting a home run and his recent slump into the .240s) who knows what "cubbie occurrences" are in store for the beloved once they get to a point where they're about to break whatever curses are there to keep them out of the world series, let alone winning it? bartman happened at a time where the cubs were almost certain to go to the world series for the first time since 1945/46/whatever and right when it happened if you would have told your cubs friends what was gonna happen they would have laughed at you.... but it happened.

of course, it's entirely possible that none of that happens and these cubs roll to a world series title as soon as this season. anything's possible and that's why we watch the games and sports in general. of course, given that these are the cubs we're talking about and it's not too far of a stretch to assume that god doesn't like them all that much (i mean, c'mon....) i'm gonna sit back relax and strap it down and see what kind of drama unfolds at the worst possible moment/s en route to the promised land.

and if i were a sox fan rooting against the cubs (even moreso than i root for my own sox, per many cubs fans here) i'd tell my other sox fan buddies to actively cheer on the cubs and welcome the forthcoming era of dominance that SHOULD AT LEAST be the 90s braves, but with a few more titles.... because then if and when any cubbie occurrences pop up and fuck up the whole deal it's going to be that much sweeter to enjoy. it's one thing when a little underdog out of nowhere rises up and has a chance to go deep in the tournament and then derails at the last second.... but when the prohibitive favorites to rule the baseball universe with an iron fist (all the while showing the rest of MLB what "the right way" is to build a team) have such high expectations and a fanbase secretly/expecting sheer and utter dominance, what's more glorious than watching goliath go and get fucked up by david? isn't that why everyone has rooted against the yankees forever?

c'est la vie. and go cubs!

A more creative invite is to have 10 guys dressed like Bartman and surround him with them to confuse the angry masses.

Bartman doesnt get blamed, he is just the new symbol of a failure. He took over for the Goat.
