Man, fuck these guys. They 'published' rumors during the whole Patrick Sharp thing earlier this year, but this week have gone in on Patrick Kane's accuser.

So in the interest of 'getting out all the information, lets see some facts before judging you guys' they put out a bunch of clickbait (yes, I'm guilty of succumbing to it) posts that they're 'sourcing'. The sources are probably just through random emails. They're not fucking reporters. And they appear objectively dumb, with leading insight like 'is it something that the accuser is a psychology major? how about that she dated athletes?!'. They had the 'statutory' rumor which they then just blamed other sites on instead of backtracking.

It's like they're the Charles C Johnson of the Chicago Blackhawks, that's a real good corner to be on. A few steps below Dan Bernstein, who at least while also not an actual reporter is in the media and conceivably has sources. I'll rate them a bit above beardown, who just comes to the board and types what he read there and blathers his own theories like some little kid wandering near the adults table at Thanksgiving.

It is one of the worst sites, for sure. I have a buddy that constantly "shares" the biggest clickbait articles in the world from this site. Embarrassing stuff.

Sorry, cant go all bad on some guys trying to do something. I know they come close or maybe even cross the line, but its what they think is right...and they arent attacking anyone. You might take some of rhe kane stuff that they have printed as an attack, but thats how you take it...they report what they hear. Maybe they are have spoken to a Lawer about all this and have chosen to go ahead with everything they hear....I wouldnt do it....but they chose to, so we will see what happens. I give them credit for going for it.

This is a rape investigation, so I prefer giving credit to professional journalists (or even lesser-qualified ones who still have some sort of a reputation and standard, like Deadspin/Gawker...and they're not touching this one), then just some guys (with the CEO listing 'Certified Ethical Hacker' as a credential) out there living the dream of relaying unconfirmed tips.

They aren't doing what they think is right just hoping to get clicks. It's impressive that they haven't disclosed the name accompanied by a slideshow of her 20 hottest picssssssss...but that's more likely because they don't actually know than any moral obligation.

They always say "these are rumors". They're not reporting anything as fact.

I'm wondering if this protects them from a lawsuit.

They also know the girls name but said they won't report it. So I guess they have some standards.

This is an objectively horrible site that's utterly irrelevant outside of Blackhawks sleaze.
