That's mad dog

The mike North of N.Y.

Then I'm glad I've made it 33 years having not been exposed to his radio gig.

"The Mike North of New York" isn't really accurate. That's more Joe Benigno. Dog is a bundle of weirdness unto himself: he managed to host afternoon drive in New York for 20 years while being a die-hard, Mets-hating, Yankee-hating San Francisco Giants fan. He also has one of the weirdest voices I've ever heard. I've tried so hard to get it down but it's just somethin' else.

He sounds like the male Judge Judy to me

The network is perfect.

I LOVE the MLB Network, when the kid and I are watching tv, I would guess that 80% of the time it is on this channel.

Now having said that, Eric Byrnes makes me want to punch animals.

I understand. I guess I just got used to him.

The whole live look ins thing is just so perfect for baseball. I think MLB stays on sometimes for months at a time. (I watch most other stuff on DVR)

The live look ins are awesome, like having Red Zone for baseball at no additional cost.

And Pedro is pure entertainment. He says some interesting things about pitching too.

MLB Network is great. MLB Tonight and Quick Pitch are on almost every day.

Some of the analysts could be better, but since they employ like fifty of them, they can't all be Plesac, Ripken, Leiter or O'Dowd

My favorites are Greg as the main guy, I think that is his name, Plesac, Ripken and I do like Harold Reynolds. I think Smoltz and Pedro are in that next level.

I LOVE Harold. That guy really knows the game and his enthusiasm is real. If I were in player development I would do everything I could to hire him to be a minor league instructor.

the greatest thing ever is how MLB Network, NBA TV, etc. made watching Sports Center and/or ESPN News completely unnecessary . not even sure who still watches that shit

The same people that still use BA as the best metric for a hitter and W-L as the best metric for a starting pitcher, probably.

Those metrics can still be used though, just not entirely.

Yup.

The live look-ins on both stations are great. I can always catch a great 2OT action on NBATV, and they will stick with it until it's over.

SMITTY! We're working late tonight! Did I hear a tweet?

RIP Rick Kamla

Every time I turn it on they're doing another fucking list show. My god enough with the fucking lists. It's not in the least bit interesting. Just fucking stop.

Plenty of games on right now to fill time.

Give me your top 10 MLB games so far this month.

Please, no. I'd rather watch a list show or hot stove coverage than a game from 15-40 years ago.

I'm fine with watching classic games, but I hate it when the guide tells you the outcome of the fucking game. I might not remember the outcome, but thanks for ruining any reason why I would want to continue watching this...

They have the repeat rotation going pretty heavily already. I had it on working out and eating last night probably about 90 minutes and they reran the Batista segment 3 times
