The Cubs better hope they can grab the Arrieta game.

The Cubs are shaking in their cleats over the prospect of facing Shark and his 4.62 ERA.

I'm hoping Cubs can take 2 or 3. Sox tend to have their number though...so I just dont want Sox to sweep...so 1 of 3 will be ok with me. No losing streaks for Cubs needed. 1 of 3 is cool enough in greater context of the season.

About as much as the Sox are over facing salad-tossing Hendricks. I expect the Sox batting averages to get very healthy in that game.

And against Haren. Saturday's game could be a real good one.

I remember being at a Cubs-Sox game one fine summer night only to see a rotund Mexican in a sombrero throw hammers with about three Cubs fans at the same time. I hope to see him there again Saturday.

I have a feeling Shark takes this as a challenge and goes 8 today for a Sox win.

Quintana will either get a loss or a no decision in a close game with Arrietta, because that is what Quintana does.

Sale will own these bums. It will be fun to watch Babe Schwarber's knees buckle

That three-game series against Kansas City, you could take us talent for talent, we're probably a little better than Kansas City. They execute better than we do.

He got smacked around by the Red Sox and Rays but dominated the Angels.

He cant beat barely above average offenses. Bodes well for the Cubs.

KC executes 10 times better than the Sox. And Ned Yost is not the best of managers.

Also KC has way more talent

They have more, but its not that farfetched to compare the Sox to KC on paper. Outside of the bullpen, you look at the roster and there are a lot of places where the two teams are remarkably similar. The Royals come up knowing how to play defense and run the bases properly, while the Sox haven't produced anybody who can do that well since....Joe Crede?

(Though Saladino and Thompson, in limited sample sizes, look like they could be solid everyday contributors for a while.)

But yeah Hawk was way out ahead of himself on that one. Even for Hawk it was pretty brutal.

I should be happy Shark is a tool and declined Theo's $85M offer. However, his incessant bitching about everything when he was a Cub even though they saved his career and his tough-guy attitude was annoying.

I would be OK dropping Saturday and Sunday if it meant Cubs win today by lighting his ass up by 10 runs and bouncing him by the 2nd.

The Sox have maybe 2 position players that are equal to the Royals (Melky, Abreu)

Sale Cueto is close to a wash and the Royals have a better 2-5

And the Bullpen is not even close.

CUBS SWEEEEP!!!!!

Regardless of who wins and loses. We know the Cubs are the far superior team. Cubs have the edge at almost every position. Sale SP, Cabrera RF and Abreu DH are the only players that have an edge over the Cubs counterparts. Lester, Solar and Castro/whoever DH's

I bet Schwarber will DH and he's much better than Abreu. Cabrera is a LF and Coughlan is far superior to him this season.

Are you fucking high? The Sox are nothing like KC. Saldino and Thompson

Is Cabrera LF? Have not watched 1 White Sox game this year. I think Schwarber is playing LF and Coghlan is playing 2nd with Castro DH against lefties and Defornia against righties.

Cubs fans need to be honest about the Sox otherwise the conversation is just silly. Abreu is an awesome player.

I wouldn't say much better, but he is outplaying Abreu this month.

Baseball ebbs and flows. You can't judge on one month. Schwarber looked like shit against Garza on Wednesday. He was great yesterday. Abreu is awesome. You can't deny that. If you don't judge the Sox fairly, then the conversation is just stupid. We can argue and disagree, but let's do it with as little bias as possible.

I am not sure how much the Cubs fans here watch the Sox. Because some of the comments are silly.

Maybe this is all one big troll.

Melky has been red hot. You like Coghlan more?

For the Sox, I like Eaton, but he hasn't hit well enough. The jury is still out on Garcia. I am not a fan of Quintana, although many experts thinks he is very good. Sale no comment needed. Abreu, I already stated. Their recent call-ups have played well, but way too early to tell. I don't have a read on Rodon, he seems to walk too many guys. Too early on him. Not much else there for my money.
