The real question is will Shwarber be a first ballot guy?

I'm bookmarking this for when RFDC and Bucky Chris insist no Cub Fan has ever called these goofs Hall of Famers.

And yet he still isn't calling them Hall of Famers.

Perhaps find a book on reading comprehension?

Those that bleed Cubbie Blue sure have a way with words regarding "The Plan" and all.

-If a rookie/prospect is up with the club and doing good they are "totally legit" and will have their own wing in Cooperstown. All the bluster regardless of the sample size.

-If a rookie/prospect is a total bust or not coming within a country mile of performing up to the hype then the player "will be fine" and they just need to go down to A ball on work on some stuff before ascending to the baseball Mt. Olympus to eat hot dogs with Babe Ruth.

Theo has 'em seein' stars!

 Okay. They're not Hall of Famers just in the automatic Hall of Fame realm and in the discussion of first ballots.

The Cub are horrible. All the young rookies are horrible. I can see why no astute baseball fan would want any of these busts anywhere near their roster.

Obviously the Cubs are having a fair tale (although a year early) season. In my opinon they will not win the series this year. The issue is Cub fans might have to deal with a 3rd place no WC play in next year. If that happens oh my.

They won't win the World Series this year? Way to go out on a limb, Mikey.

If they're a year early, how can they have an implosion? I don't, for the life of me, know how they've gotten this far with all those young busts.

My implosion is the one next year after assumptions are made on this year.

Oh, I get it. You mean kinda like this year's Sock team implosion.

Perhaps I'm strange, but I get more pleasure out of my team's successes than the other side of town's failures.

Oh well, whatever and whoever gets you through the night. I can't keep track.

Be strange all you want. I hide nothing, I do not care to even know why. It has been in me somehow to wish the Cubs lose and their fans suffer angst. It is a recognized situation not unlike any other mental issue.

Oh, considering the source, I doubt that root is any more complex than plain old Schadenfreude.

wait.... we're putting schwarber in the HOF now? i thought the hip thing to do with him lately was to go and find some obscure old catcher from the 30s-70s who showed up and immediately had a hot start, but then tailed off into sheer and utter mediocrity at best... and oh yeah they sucked at being a catcher too.

i thought that's what we're supposed to do with schwarber nowadays, not put him in the damn HOF!

You got your shovel out for that one, Rodney. Something tells me you dug up some straws in the process.

I only watched bits and pieces of the games this weekend, but he looked pretty horrible in the outfield.

He sure can hit though.

I thought he handled that beer thing well. That douchebag was about 20 rows in front of me but you really could not tell who threw it.

He reminds me of Viciedo or El Caballo playing there...or as Juron might say, he plays that position but it isn't really his position.

I'm sure Maddon will speak glowingly of his progress.

I went with a church group. They weren't bad. I was close enough to the Joe Orr family to enjoy a little time with the lovely couple.

I don't get great seats for anything that often.

I think Rizzo is a better hitter at this point, but Schwarber can become what Rizzo does. Has the power and has a more natural compact swing, Rizzo had to create that and it probably doesnt have the same power Schwarber does from that compact swing.

But does that mean then nas is saying Schwarber will be far better than Abreu?

He looks great but I think it would be wise to wait for the league to adjust to him to judge him. As long as he can make the adjustment back, he should be real good.
