they're going to be stretched to a game 7 in november? no way dude.... they'll have it wrapped up in 5. the only way they see november (assuming game 5 is in october) is if the cubbie occurrence / bartman reboot forces a game 6.... but that's it!

SF Playing Pitt for 4 games right before Cubs fly into the bay. Thats an 7/8 game stretch for Sf v Cub/Pirate, that they really need to make up some ground.

Not a fan of playing a 1 game v G Cole.

start makiing plans

The American League wild card game will be Tuesday, Oct. 6 and televised on ESPN. The National League wild card game will be Wednesday, Oct. 7 and will be on TBS.

The regular season is scheduled to end on Oct. 4 and if any tiebreaker games are required, they would be played Oct. 5.

The Division Series both start on Oct. 8. The ALCS, telecast on Fox, starts Oct. 16 and the NLCS, telecast on TBS, will start Oct. 17.

Game 1 of the World Series, on Fox, is scheduled to begin Oct. 27 at the home of the AL champs. If necessary, Game 7 will be Nov. 4.

i saw in the paper today that game 5 is indeed on november 1st, so i guess the cubs will play into november this year. that is unless a clutch chase utley HR off of a fearsome closer gives them a come-from-behind win in the first 4 games, that is.
