What we are seeing is a pitcher's development rushed to save an already hopeless season. The Sox have ruined Rodon's career for the sake of 78 wins. It's a tragedy that can hopefully be fixed when he gets traded to a professional organization.

Cubs fans know they would look foolish to call him a bust or even intimate that this is a bad season. He had a few horrible starts in a row that have skewed everything. He has come out of that streak by giving up one run in fifteen innings against a team fighting for the playoffs. More often than not his only problem has been location. That is not a minor problem but it is correctable.
