Word is that the show will focus on the Houston Texans this season. Should be pretty interesting with JJ Watt there and of course the underperforming Clowney still
working his way back from injury. I still wonder what this show would have looked like last season if they had chosen the Bears knowing what we know about that
team now. I haven't found the show as interesting the last few seasons but do enjoy Watt a lot and could be a pretty decent season with Houston and an interesting
coach in Bill O'Brien. Premieres August 11.

You really think this will be good? I think they should scrap this program. Every year it is the same story lines just with different players. It's not groundbreaking or provocative anymore.

They should have a fan vote on it.

Patriots?
Packers?
Seahawks?

Would like to see some of the good organizations....even Pitt.

I am already JJ Watted out...and it hasnt even started.

I think it has potential to be better than past years. The first few years were good because it was fresh and new. The last three seasons were teams that
really didn't do much for me. Dolphins, Bengals and Falcons were all just blah. Maybe you are right and this show has completely jumped the shark, but
I enjoy seeing some of the behind the scenes stuff with the different teams and I just think there are enough personalities that this could be an improvement.

Kicks off tomorrow. I see they had a big fight with the Redskins this weekend during scrimmages. Lots of JJ Watt coverage. That guy is great
but hopefully they have a few other plot lines to save this thing. I still like watching but it needs a refresher, the last few seasons have been
pretty yawn-worthy.

Anybody else tune in? It was just an alright initial episode. Wilfork is a pretty good character and of course JJ Watt was a big part of the show.
Other than that it doesn't appear that this will be that interesting.

Already kind of boring. A great part of that show was the unknown rookies, JJ is great, but he is featured everywhere, feel like I have seen the guys lifestory 3 times over.

Wilfork can really move....for a mountain.

How do you run against a D that puts Wilfork in the middle, Clowney on one side, JJ on the other????

It was average at best. Way too much JJ Watt. It appears his workouts are insane. The injuries are interesting but sad.

The injuries are sad when you get to "know" the players on a personal level through the show. I felt like I was watching a Gatorade commercial during Watt's extended after practice workout.

I always wonder if the show edits it to make you feel for the injured players. I have noticed they hype a young guy every year, and that player ends up getting hurt. I think they have a lot of film, and after a guy gets injured, they go back and feature him ahead of showing you his injury.

Maybe they do that a little bit but the show is only one week behind real time so if they try to feature a guy that gets hurt 3 weeks into the show it would be pretty obvious.

Everything about this season was nicely summarized by O'Brien in the opening. He correctly stated no one respects or cares about the Texans.

The Watt stuff was too much. His gym workouts were cool to see. But the late night stuff was TV vomit.

For myself I want to see more coach/player interactions. Players getting bitched out or praised during drills or film sessions. Player on player shit talking and such.

There should also be a decent focus on the coach. Las year you could tell Mike Smith was an idiot.

In fact, the past three years (Bengals, Dolphins, Falcons) you had MARVIN LEWIS come off as the most competent.

Jesus.

They need to find a way to start forcing teams into this show. Enough with the fuck-up coaches/teams.

Obviously the Bears would be a good get. I think everyone would watch a Patriots or Packers version.

Exclusion Criteria:
1. Teams that have appeared on Hard Knocks in the last 10 years.
2. Teams with new head coaches.
3. Teams that have made the playoffs in either of the last two years.

1. Excluded: Cowboy, Bengal, Jet, Dolphin, Bengal, Falcon, Texan
2. Excluded: Guessing: Brown, 49er, Titan, Giant, Ram
3. Excluded: Raven, Steeler, Colt, Lion, Cardinal, Panther, Bronco, Patriot, Packer, Seahawk and whoever makes it this year.

That leaves possible 2016 candidates:
Saint, Buccaneer, Viking, Redskin, Eagle, Charger, Raider, Jag, Jet, Bill

Those all suck. None of the good ones will volunteer. I bet we get Jacksonville or DC.

Jets have been on in last 10 years. I'd watch Redskins, Eagles, Saints, and Chargers

I thought yesterday's was much better than the 1st. It wasn't just JJ Watt.

Brian Cushing is a fuck. His wife is really cute though.
DeAndre Hopkins is that new money athlete who will go broke. You could see it right away.
Wilfork is the man. Surprised he hasn't been in any national commercials.

One big difference with this season and the past 4 (Jet, Bengal, Phin, Falcon) is the absence of Texans GM. We haven't seen him once.

Last year the Falcon's GM was all over the camera.

Yeah it was alright. I watched 80% of it this morning. Cushing did come off as a prick.

Couple of thoughts. Yes a better episode. Cushing is a tool. I thought for sure he was going to get hurt given how much they featured him. The coach swears way too much. He is going to burn his players out. Wilfork's wife is ugly!. I wonder how many guys go out with their buddies to shop for little girl's clothes? Vrabel is also a jerk, which makes him a perfect fit on that coaching staff.

Ya think? I caught most of last nights episode, It was good. The Coach has to be a polarizing figure ..O'Brien is ..Belechick ain't.

Ted Johnson did it. Who I think is divorced and been in rehab. The Wilforks have a nice story which is rare or so it seems.

yeah they seem like a nice family. you know who else i give credit to is roger federer. not that his wife is unattractive, but she's definitely not the trophy wife that so many tennis players (or any athlete) nab. she looks like a good woman all around, good mother, and her and federer have always seemed to have a good relationship. and it must be hard to be with a tennis player because of all the traveling and the highs and lows of the tour. although, federer has never really had many lows. he could probably land the hottest chick on the planet. then again, maybe he does under the table. who knows. but he doesn't strike me as that type.

The most enjoyable episode yet in my opinion. They touched on some new characters including the GM and got a look behind the curtain at the
coaches personal life. I really like the scenes with Vrabel coaching, he seems like a natural for that kind of thing. He is hard on his guys but is
there trying to teach fundamentals as well. Got to see the first guy cut as well. Just enjoyed that they sprayed to all fields other than the
mandatory JJ Watt stuff.
