He turns down some OT every week and will still make $95K this year. And his job is 95% automated.
Earlier in the thread you talked about how your client was only paying about $12 an hour for blue collar work, and literally couldn't pay any more.

It seems to go a little further than hypocritical and I feel like it invalidate your stance. You become the rich person saying do as I say not as I do and has the hooray for me feel that you often mention with complete disdain. I just find it weird.

Look, I'm not a revolutionary. It takes a special person to change the world. Like most people, I'm weak. I just take the world as I find it and do the best I can under the conditions I've found. Sometimes my wife calls it, "dropping to the level of others." That may be. But I'm not lump lump. The world is full of Scoreheads who wouldn't cut me a break on their best day. So I feel like I have to act accordingly. I don't think mine is a particularly hypocritical stance, but as I said, I can understand if you do.

But I'll say this: If you and I were on a desert island and I had all the food, I would give you half. And I mean that sincerely. Make no mistake, there are people who post here who would cut your heart out so they could live twice as long.

Why is that all greed? You act as if you live as a pauper or maybe that everyone should. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

What would qualify as greed to you?

Having things driven by the desire for wealth, status, and power with no motivation for joy or improvement in life. Having things for the sake of having things and not valuing, being grateful, or sharing them in some way.

For all the talk about free market capitalism, risk taking, innovation, and government stinks you would think that the entrepreneurial class is really taking risks without any help from govt.

This is why it's all bullshit. The govt is really the institution responsible for most of the inventions that people cherish so much. It is the govt that typically conducts the research for such inventions. It is the government that buys the materials for such inventions. If it were left to the capitalist class, many of the great inventions would have never occurred. Most of them would never invest their own money on risky ventures with no proven track record. Millions/Billions just to research? Forget let the govt go through the process of exorbitant startup costs fee, trial and error, and cost of research while they reap the benefits later.

That has always been the dirty little secret that we were never supposed to know about. Amidst all the talk about risks it is truly the govt that takes the risks. Govt expenditures on inventions are enormous. Much greater than any business, which is something that is often lost as capitalists tend to thump their chest about the greatness of the free market system.

You'd be in the 1% within a year, even if you would be treating me slightly better than an Amazon employee.

Entire industries have been spawned because of govt. Investment. Without it a number of industries would have never been created. I don't know about yours, but I'm sure the effects of govt probably would entail more than simply taking your taxes. Just guessing though.

There is a ton of regulation. And it's increasing by the day. So it is increasingly costing me time and money.

There are many industries that have little or nothing to do with government money.

The economic climate today is more and more regulations at every level. Those regulations take someone to read, decipher and determine what a business should do. Either you pay someone to do this, which many do, or you take the time to do this...either way...there is a costs to the new regulations even before implementing them.

These conditions favor large business and a further burden on small business in America....

This was something I really thought MR CHANGE was going to work. Tax credits for small businesses, some REAL incentives, etc. He has done little to nothing...and much of that is because he doesnt know WTF he is talking about. Doesnt mean he cant understand it, but he doesnt know it.

I don't own a business, but Seacrest is correct. As a whole, the lobbyist controlled political system has been hurtful to small businesses...for more years than i can count.

I would do a lot of things for that kind of starting salary. That's about double what I'm pulling down.

Mr change 'Eliminated " over 2,000 Lobbyists....he loves to tell the minions.

Which he did.....he did it by increasing the license fee to $100K to be a Lobbyist, thus eliminating all those pesky smaller groups!

If you get a CDL a lot of opportunities are out there. I cant speak to Seacrest's garbage man's local waste management company though.
