I was born in 1986. I don't trust the opinions of my two year old self. He was also in love with watching bowling on TV.

Also, if you think late career Steve Carlton was "good"...

FYI, Babe Ruth only earned 5.1 WAR in his age-23 season.

The HR to Right Center was impressive. The 2nd one got a bit of help from the wind, but he's had some Homers taken away by the wind too. Many more I believe. Hopefully he can get on another run where he can hit 6-8 homers in a 8-10 game stretch and make more consistent contact. I like seeing him go to RF, as so many pitchers try to get him out on the low, outside part of the plate. If he can go to right more often, that will make a huge difference. Rookie of the Year, as I said before the season began.

As obvious as that sounds Steve, its correct. while I don't think he's been a pull happy hitter, the sooner he uses right center on the away pitches the better. Then i think we'll see him really take off.

He will have 25 or more this season and didn't even begin the season in the majors. Next season and for several years to come (barring injury) I have to believe he will have 30 or more.

He only missed 9 games. It wasn't like he came up June 1st.

9 games still probably means 1-2 HR's difference. Knowing the pitchers, their release points, their stuff, how they approach hitters, etc. will be the biggest difference going forward. That and the confidence he will have gained from a successful rookie campaign.

The same pitchers can adjust to him. A baseball career is fifteen years worth of adjustments.

Look...I think he projects to be pretty damn good, of course. But I'm not speaking in absolutes. 30 HR is harder than it used to be. Especially 30 HR while hitting .270.

Yeah, it's difficult. That's why he's considered an exceptional talent. That's why he led all of professional Baseball in HR last season and was minor league player of the year. Why he will be rookie of the year. Why he made the All-Star game as a rookie. The guy is a unique talent.

In 28 games last month, Bryant hit .330 (33-for-100), good for third among NL rookies, while his seven homers and 20 RBI both were tied for second behind teammate Kyle Schwarber. Bryant had the League's highest rookie slugging percentage (.620), while his .422 on-base percentage and 62 total bases were tops among all Major League rookies.
