Dies of injuries suffered yesterday at Pocono. Hit in the head with debris from another crashed car.

Passes away age 37.

Just read that. Shame but Mario Andretti (Andretti was his company) said in the article "if racing was 100% safe no one would be in the stands".

I respect Mario, but that sounds similar to the misguided argument that hockey needs fighting.

Plus, I don't think anyone is saying they need to make it 100% safe. Maybe not have an open cockpit?
