cubs have restarted the idea of the bleachers as a premium seat. gotta say nifty marketing.

90s day got bleacher tix early in the year from STH for $40 face. stubhub they were going 70+. people were offering to buy the hat the next day $25 bucks.

fri cards/cubs bleachers now seeing 90+ everywhere.

They are more than $70 (face) in many aisles of the upper deck.

Yup, its make it a TRENDY THING to do, while some still call it the singles bar, it seems to be much more a group outing in most cases.

Either way...WHOOMP THERE IT IS (Soul PAtrol Train?) is gonna get some royalities if they do that thing right...

The DJ'ing thing does need some help though. You can see the party about to expalod, they play 15 seconds of a song, then stop it, then start a new song...a real Dj might not be a bad idea.

Either way, the money is going to be flowing and the Ricketts might become the powerhouse template of ownership in MLB.

I got the hot dougs because the line wasnt long. Its a good product, not worth the hour waits at his establishment when open, 5 mins, its a great product

I can recognize the big running party about to explode. Will hit the bleachers twice a year. Happy in section 9 in my seat with a back and a guy bringing me beer.

They opened this thing called "the Hacienda" right there, its an open area that they give you bar stools to sit on, so you can step on the bar stool and reach over....or you can just think...."Hey, I am not going to reach for the ball on the field"

spanky, i have tickets for bleachers for cubs/cards 8/18 and 8/19.

on stubhub which is a reprentation of what the market is willing to pay the lowest:
8/18 - $115
8/19 - $140

the people selling the 8/18 aren't gouging either. i checked the prices for 8/18 ten days ago on cubs.com and they were $89.00 face or $108.86 after fees.

that's a premium price for many. not all of us are mr. moneybags.

I guess I'm too old for the bleachers. 100 and up? Screw that. I'll take 1st row upper deck LF line over that.
