Umm, no. It was precisely responsive.
You appear to looking for the racist boogeyman under the bed.
The reality is that NFL players get into a lot of dumb shit. .
The reality is that some do while most do not. The perception is that all do.
Most of the players in the NFL have neither the money nor shelf life to maintain a crew. Further, for every problem player there are several other players who lead very hum drum existences. We see that anecdotally on a show like Hard Knocks.[/quote]
It's not all players, but it's enough that many experts come in to speak to players about keeping their noses clean, being smart with their money, staying 'out da club' etc. Guys like Philip Buchanon, Troy Vincent and others (can't recall who, but they had a few on the 30 for 30 'Broke) coach rookies on doing shit the right way to not end up broke.
I'm sure the topics on their power point agenda include: 1. Stay Away From The Hootchies. 2. Lose The Crew. 3. Hire A Proper Money Guy (Not Your Cousin) and so one...
The overwhelming majority of ex-NFL athletes (most of whom are black) are dead broke within 2 years of being out of the NFL. Offering advice on how to avoid that is a good thing.
