People lie on the internet. No one actually believes that a Jezebel commenter has a husband.

Yep, because every college girl is a paragon of virtue and wonderful behavior.

Well it's a life lesson to teach your daughter (i.e. stay away), and plus you could still drop off her mom. Win-win.

dolphin doesn't have to worry about things like daughters

Why are you talking in the first person?

Jimmy's new in town. Jimmy is sweet on Elaine.

But Dennis Rodman gotta do what's right for Dennis Rodman.

To keep at least some of the college dbags seperated from the rest of us.

The intent in making the statement is to be douchey. I don't really think producing male children is worthy of a brag. Speaking in first person highlights it (apparently not for some).

Someone made the point that there are some icky implications to how it's addressed to fathers giving their daughters to fratboys for sex (rather than, say, just writing "hey girls come fuck us" or something), but then fathers "giving their daughter away" at weddings always struck me as icky, too. Anything involving cute white girls and their dads is always really really complicated.

Weird.

Everytime I read a Jezebel comment, I want to evoke Sgt. Hulka 'Lighten up, Francis'.

Seriously those people have no sense of humor about them. They think every male on Earth, except the pajama boy sensitive ones, spend every waking hour thinking about how we can create a 'heteronormative patriarchal white privilege' society to the detriment of every one else.

I used to like Jalopnik for the car content until they started letting all the whiney types in the side door from the other Gawker sites.

Those are the men they hate most of all. JORR said it best when he said you can't fool biology 100% of the time.

The sign on the left is the only one that's in poor taste. Middle and right are ok...and I'll second RR that the sign on the right is hilarious.

Imo, it's only mildly worse than the hundreds of sorority pledges walking around en masse in loud pink t-shirts that effectively screamed "f-me" that I saw when I was down at Mizzou last week. They were everywhere heavily advertising their follower & wanna be status. If I had a daughter, the way they were parading those girls around would have been a bit more disturbing in the long run.

My step daughter just went through this rushing process for a sorority. I don't really understand it myself, never being a part of the Greek system in college. I didn't make it
to a college campus until I was 20 and I found it to be a bit elitist and silly to pay to be in a "club". I am sure there is a lot more to it than that but I was happy being an
independent. I'll be interested to see if she ends up sticking with it. Based on her past I think she is going to embrace the "sisterhood" of it all. Having known my share of
frat guys and going to their parties I have no real problem with the signs which were hung in jest. Bad taste yes, but pretty funny.

The blatant objectifying of women as sexual objects to be used and abused by a frat, cannot be tolerated. Any school that does not punish a group that engages in such a display is going to be seen as endorsing the same. Double secret probation.....

The Theta-Omega chapter of Sigma Pi, which has a house on Middle Tennessee Boulevard near Murphy Center, had a banner that reportedly was taken down by fraternity leadership 30 minutes after it was first put up, according to an MTSU statement.

The sign, which read “Freshman Girls Info Center,” was “inconsistent with the values we promote as a university,” according to the MTSU statement.

“We are aware that the fraternity’s national headquarters has suspended the campus chapter pending outcome of an investigation,” according to the statement. “We will continue to gather information as we determine whether action by the university is warranted.”

University officials will investigate whether the school’s student code of conduct or fraternity and sorority guidelines were violated, said Jimmy Hart, MTSU director of news and media relations.

The real story is that the Mouth of the South found a new gig.

It sounds like it should be a place where people walk around in full fox-hunting regalia, but I think it's just a really big state school in Norfolk.
