GD, you can fight it all you want, but the current Cubs regime is on their way to accomplishing what they set out to do. Those things include:

1) Restocking the minor leagues through improved scouting,
2) Developing the talent they draft,
3) Improving Wrigley field,
4) Creating a major league team that is sustainable,
5) Spending money on free agents once they feel like the team has a shot.

Of course any move (made or not made) changes subsequent moves. The real fact is they are on the path they originally set out. They were honest with Cubs fans from day one. Regardless of whether you agree with the Plan, the past is gone. We are starting to reap the benefits of the Plan, and I am excited about the future.

BP has the Cubs at a 96.9% chance of making the playoffs.

FanGraphs, has them at 97.3% chance of making the playoffs.

JORR has them at ZERO.
