yes a catcher who can hit 40 bombs is even more valuable today.

Because of the physical toll they probably would try to make him switch positions but we all know he was born a catcher.

MOST Cub fans are sort of like pull-toys that just repeat the same few things over and over again. They said the same things the day after this happened:

His last 4 hits are all Homers. Big, important hits, but a few singles and doubles sprinkled in would be great. 35 RBI in just 41 games is pretty impressive though. had a shot last night that looked like a sure hit, but the 2nd baseman, playing well into the outfield grass made a good play on the shifted defense employed to stop the Babe.

I don't disagree. At AT&T that was just enough. Doesn't mean it wasn't a laser beam.

according to Home Run Tracker it went 398 ft and at it's peak it was 70' high off the bat at 105.6 MPH

It would have been a HR in all 30 parks.

It was scored a "barely enough" HR.

Which, as we know, means it really doesn't count.

Glad I could educate you.

Both have a 50% JE HR rate. I guess it's time to pump the brakes on Schwarber!

I assume because only Rizzo has a higher OBP.

Hey, man, you don't talk to Joe Maddon. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he'll... uh... well, you'll say "hello" to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you. He won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say, "Do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you"... I mean I'm... no, I can't... I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas...
