It was an ok episode. There just isn't much compelling stuff. I think the coaching staff is a bunch of hard asses, and as soon as they start losing, these guys will lose control of the team. There is a notable lack of personalities in the locker room aside from Cushing and Watt.

I enjoyed the obligatory rookie show performances as well as the game they played in the locker room with the inflatable ball.

I cringe at the rookie performances. Not that funny. However, the locker room "volleyball" was interesting.

The fact that Bernie was gushing over this show earlier this week makes me feel bad that I enjoy it. I don't think it is that good.

Great episode. My few thoughts:

Paul Pasqualoni survived Mel Tucker/Trestman and now gets to "coach" JJ Watt. Nice rebound.

Watt is a beast but he's such a camera whore. He's worse than a wide receiver.

I like when they profile guys on the fringe trying to make the team. The Vrabel coaching stuff is interesting. I wish they would show more snippets of position coaches teaching.

That Charles James cat is great. He's the type of player every team craves. He busts his ass even though he may not have great inherent ability. He'll make the teams on special teams alone.

I wish teams still did the Oklahoma drill. That was great to watch with the Bengals.
