We don't know that, because we never got a straight answer on White's injury. For all we know, White sandbagged the Bears.

How does a fractured shin keep you out for four months? We're still not getting the whole story.

You don't go full speed in OTA's with a stress fracture.

It is pretty ridiculous to blame Pace the way White tor up the combine. He obviously got hurt after draft. Unless you believe he was on a ton of pain killers in Indianapolis that didn't show up in any other way like screening.

There, I called in before 4:00 p.m. and blasted Pace. Now I'm happy.

Everyone sounds worse on the phone, just how it is. It's been probably five or six months since I last called, so I was a little excited.

I was hoping that they would take the bait on Pace but they didn't.

I really don't care. His results are his results. His job is to draft players that will play on Sundays.
DRAFT #1...first round pick #7....WILL NOT PLAY ON SUNDAY.
Grade = F

Pace hired Fox, Fangio and Gace. Best coaching staff the Bears have had in many many years.
The Kevin White situation is a bad break for Pace. Injuries happen. Whites injury certainly isnt Paces fault.
Cant grade Pace after just 1 draft.

I'd wait till they play a game or 2 to say that. They have good past track records but the Bears are messed up.

Bottom of the first round....all of them start and played on Sundays their first year.
Pace = F

So far this best coaching staff in many many years is undefeated, so I can't help but agree.

Bears are in full tank mode.

Buckle up for at least 2 years of horrendous football and two drafts in the top 5.

If we're only using this for grades, then Phil Emery gets a solid B+, possibly an A.

Yup. Then sign former MLB shortstops to scoop up your preferred QB's passes.

I wish the NFL was a bit more like MLB with more trades. If the Bears could get a couple high picks for Forte, they should consider it.

Problem is only guys who would trade high draft picks for a 29 year old Matt Forte are already employed by the Bears.

He needs to be playing this week. He's a 3rd round pick.

On his reaction when Josh Sitton became available over the weekend after being cut by the Packers

“One of the important things about them being in our division is that we knew all of their players very well. So any division opponent, you have fresh reports on all those players. Which I like, because sometimes let’s say you have a need at a position, you can almost create (a desire for a guy), you can almost manufacture it. But with this, we had good grades on this player regardless … So when he became available, I think, that was a testament again to our scouting department that OK we need to act quick on this. He’s right up the road. There are a lot of teams interested in him. Let’s just have him drive down and get on this right now and be aggressive and be decisive. And I think the ability to be that way came with our preparation.”

:lol:

is this player a pro-bowler? yes.
do we have a right guard? no.
let's sign him!

now that's what i call genius scouting.

The Bears haven't had a quality QB since Sid Luckman. As a result they're desperate and have manufactured an infatuation with Cutler. They're in love with him even though he sucks all because it's a position they haven't had since the 40s.

So he's crapping himself there.

The bouquets being thrown towards Pace for the Whitehair pick is great. Last year burns a 3rd on Grasu. Follows that up by drafting a college left tackle whose best position is magically center with a 2nd rounder.

ya know that's a testament to the bears scouting department
