The scene where Bunchy was explaining how smart he was reminded me of the Fredo scene.

Still like it, but this has been the worst season.

I don't care for the Bunchy and his marriage or anything involving Bunchy. I don't want to see the girl with her teacher getting high on drugs. Just stupid plot lines.

I thought last season was worse than this year..I still hate Rays ol lady..but his daughter gets better lookin each episode.

I liked this past episode and really sets things up to go to shit now that everyone is relatively happy ( except Mickey ).
Only 3 episodes left which means a lot of shit is going to happen here the next few weeks. I love the fact that they
brought back the Hank Azaria character. Besides the line that Beardown mentioned the next best line was " His whole
cube smells like Lubriderm". Anyway he has a hard on for Ray and wants to bring him down. After a questionable
start I think this show has really hit its stride.

Despite your nitpicking I enjoyed the episode and with only two episodes left I have no idea how this is all going to wrap up. It is very obvious that Terry has feelings
for his brothers wife but has been smart enough not to do anything about it up until now. Ray finally has his dad right where he wants him but I don't see how that
will work out in the end as he really pissed off the cops now.

I grew up in a suburb bordering the city that was basically a mafia story. So I cannot stand the glorification of thugs and couldn't watch the Sopranos when it came out but I am watching and enjoying it now, finally.

The Italian kids I knew, with fathers in and out of prison, actually seemed to get it back then. They viewed it more as a comedy than anything else. Somehow in their early/mid twenties these guys saw what my Irish ass wouldn't see. So belated kudos to them. And I think that is a better way to view it. The lampoon the shit out of that lifestyle. Solid drama but genuinely funny at times, mostly att eh expense of goombahs.

Ray Donovan is just the height of TV. I don't see it as a mafia story so much as drama done at a perfect level, with cinema production levels. I guess I could watch anything as long as the writing and acting are good, but it is produced at this level that is becoming the norm.

The scenes when he or anyone is driving in the car look absolutely horrible. It looks like they have a projector behind them. It's like when they do a SNL skit with a green screen.
Done.

Besides that, I love it.

I'm thinking Ray's son gets clipped by the Armenians. You know some shit is still going to go down with them since the Armenian goon saw the cop following Ray and his old man. Mickey brought Conor to a meeting earlier in the season and the Armenian dame made some comment about him. Somebody will die.

I was kind of wishing there would have made this season an episode longer. I really felt like they rushed this pre-conclusion a little bit. Things were
just a little too neat. I know there is one more episode left and that looks really good, but I just thought they could have done more with it. I don't
know maybe it would have made it stupid as it was ok the way they put it together. I read an interview with Azaria and he really likes playing this
character so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back again at some point trying to bring Ray down. Something really needs to happen in this
season finale, a main character has to go but I am not sure who it would be.

Terry finally succumbed to his feelings for Ray's wife but had the sense to stop it. Ray's daughter is going off the deep end with her love for this
teacher. Daryll has had about enough with his dad but when Mick pulls the wool over everyone's eyes about his illness he brought them all to
his defense. Looks like the priest gets involved for the finale and I expect a good cliffhanger for next season.

This is probably in my top 3 shows. Really like what Liev Schrieber has done with this character and series. He produced this entire season
and directed an episode last year.

I can see the Armenians blowing up the black Cadillac thinking they got Mickey or Daryll only to find it was the hooker girlfriend who stole the car?

From the preview of the season finale, it looks like Ray has some kind of meltdown.

Kind of a letdown for a finale. Not sure where it leaves anything for next season but I guess that was the idea.
Overall it was another enjoyable season but that last episode sort of left me scratching my head.

Yeah. Plus he's walking around for a day with a gun shot wound to the gut? I know it's a show, but c'mon, he would have bled out. Why wouldn't he go to the hospital? Unless he wanted to die. Maybe that was it.

Mic had a cool kill. Slitting that old lady's throat.

With all the shit on TV, this show delivers.

Not all time level great, but good entertainment.

Nice to see the old lady get her throat slit.

I love this show but they are developing a bad habit of tying things up way too quickly and cleanly. They build it up all season and then basically in the last episode everything gets solved, no one close to Ray gets killed, and they move on.

I still really enjoyed it but some of the most memorable moments on shows like GoT, TWD, and SoA were when characters you considered major were killed.

Agreed, I touched on some of these points a week ago but none of them were addressed. Way too clean this season with no closure with Finney and his daughter.
I would have liked it if his brother had died of the gunshot wound and then Ray had to chase Mickey to Reno for revenge but that didn't happen. Love the series
and most of the characters but I really thought this season could have used two or three more good episodes to clean things up. Maybe they will address it next
season. Ray Donovan is easily one of my favorite characters on TV

The first episode got too weird and deep. I didn't like it. I want more killing, drugs, booze, tits and ass!!!!

And I don't want story lines of the stupid kids. Leave them out this season.

Episodes 2 and 3 have been great.

Still hate the daughter having a story line. She annoys me. But I did laugh when she mocked her mom's Boston accent. At least the son has no real role this season.
