Friday: 9:10 p.m., WGN-9.
RH Jason Hammel (7-5, 3.35) vs. LH Clayton Kershaw (10-6, 2.29).

Saturday: 8:10 p.m., ABC-7.
LH Jon Lester (8-9, 3.44) vs. RH Mat Latos (4-9, 4.81).

Sunday: 7:08 p.m., ESPN.
RH Jake Arrieta (16-6, 2.22) vs. LH Alex Wood (9-8, 3.70).

No Haren. No Hendricks. Cubs still get swept.

yeah the cubs miss greinke who went last night but do get kershaw tonight, who has been quite good and basically kershaw lately. tonight's game is appointment tv to see how they fare against a top pitcher yet to slip into his eminently-hittable playoff form.

otherwise puig is starting to play better and the rest of their team isn't especially scary beyond the prospect of kershaw/greinke starting 4/7 games in a series. but hey didnt the cubs beat kershaw @wrigley last time?

Adrian Gonzalez said there is a "100 percent" chance he plays tomorrow. Yasiel Puig said he's not sure, hamstring worse than in Oakland

Cubs beat him 4-2 last time in Wrigley. But he was still good, with 9 K's...just wasnt amazing.

Like any team, when you get your shot against top pitchers you hav to cash in. You get a walk, then a HBP....have to make that guy pay!

I think they've done pretty solid overall against top pitchers who might end up in playoffs

They won games against
De Grom
Synderguard
Harvey
Kershaw
Greinke
Cole (1-1)
Liriano
Lynn (2-0)
Burnett (1-1)

Losses against
Wacha (0-2)
Martinez (0-3)
Bumgarner
Scherzer
Zimmerman

With the White SOCK tragic number at 32 the only way "CY" Sale see the playoffs is in a last second waiver/trade to a REAL contender.

Better win 2 out of 3 with Jake and The Fatman ( Jon Lester ) taking the bump 8)
