This looks great, I will see this in the theatre ..once a year I pick One Film to see in the Theatre..I'm mostly a bootleg buyer n watch @ home.

it looks pretty awesome but i'm surprised by its release date. september is typically the dead zone of movie releases. usually nov/dec is oscar bait season. i hope it's good.

The scene with the guy giving up the secret family recipe looks awesome. Reminds me of the Pesci/Liotta "why am I funny?" scene in Goodfellas.

I heard there was interest in Mark Ruffalo playing that part. He'd probably be cheaper than Depp & if Depp's next film tanks, his stock will be higher.

Depp's career will be saved by a couple of Disney sequels. He'll find another HST book to bring to the big screen & rake in some cash. Maybe Tim Burton will toss him another bone & have him play Lawrence Welk in a biopic.

Just watched a trailer for this. Looks pretty damn good.

It's getting a lot of positive pub. I think it's ~74% on Rotten Toemahtoe.

Was pretty good. Johnny Depp really gets lost in the character. For a 2hr movie, though, they do gloss over a lot of stuff. The movie seems to be as much about the FBI agent/childhood friend of Whitey than it does Whitey.

Bostonians are really fucking racist. Almost as much as people from Bridgeport.

Pretty solid movie. Agree that it was as much about the Fed as it was Bulger. Nothing beats a good gangster flick though.

Kenny Williams fell for the banana in the tailpipe

Caught this on HBO yesterday and thought it was ok. I didn't know all that much about Bulger before watching. The makeup and acting by Depp was pretty great
but the story seemed weak. Overall it was enjoyable to watch as I like those kind of movies. Interesting how the FBI handled this particular case.

Fell asleep twice trying to watch it. Need to be pretty alert watching it since the dialog matters and some of the words/sentences are hard to make out clearly. I think it's part bad audio, part overdoing on the Boston twang.
