They think they know how to replicate it and study it. They claim they can already repeat it. If this is true, it is HUGE. no more waiting 40min to talk to mars. no more hacking major systems on the internet. hell, we might even find a galactic communications network that has been running through us this whole time but we simply couldnt hear it!!

I was going to research Quantum Entanglement on my own but decided to binge watch Matlock instead.

ok you fuckin tards

its the phenomenon that even Einstein didnt believe was actually true.

it is proven, you can 'entangle' two particles with no physical link, and NO distance is too far. you can change one particles direction of spin, and the other will also change its spin INSTANTLY, no delay. this is true at 1 meter apart or 1 light year apart. or anywhere in the universe.

what is means is we should have communication that is faster than the speed of light. its actually as fast as time itself, which is weird because time isnt constant but thats besides the point.

and another quirk (no pun intended) of this matter (no pun intended) is the impossibility of 'hacking' the link. its like photon encryption that we are starting to use now, the moment the link is observed it's state is changed, so there will always be evidence of tampering if someone tries.

its really huge news. if the universe is teaming with life, intelligent life, this is likely what they use to communicate with. this very well might be the first step to logging on to the universal internet that we never knew existed!

As a viewer now of Jupiter Ascending and Mission to Mars, I think my grasp of aliens is that much more advanced than most.

could be. imagine this on steroids. 100GB/sec internet to any home in the world, with no physical link or satellite. the ping times would be whatever delay is inside your NIC hardware, so when you go on speedtest.net you would see pings of 1 or 2ms.

were likely 50 years away from that if its feasible, but still, the premise has been started.

So, we are skipping google fiber and are going past light speed?

probably not skipping. in the meantime we need something faster than copper, and fiber is where its at.

but, yes, quantum entanglement makes the speed of light seem like a crawl

I think that wishful thinking..like going to heaven.

I assume some aliens are peaceful n some not.

i think the more intelligent they are the more likely they are to be peaceful.

just look at us, country by country. the most violent countries are full of idiots.

but on a whole, we are still a species that would likely be peacefully engaging extraterrestrials if we meet them. well, maybe not the general public

I think Aliens look on us like we view chimpanzees or babboons.

This could be a reason why SETI never captured coherent radio transmissions... they wouldn't use radio.

exactly. or, maybe they are using radio, but it takes so long for radio waves traveling at the speed of light to get anywhere....

just look at ours- broadcasting 100 years, which means there is a 200 light year diameter sphere around us that encompasses EVERYTHING in our modern history. problem is, our galaxy alone is 100,000 light years across.... so we havent even begun to reach anywhere in our own neighborhood- and there is literally a trillion of other galaxys out there!!!!

we live in such a weird time of human history. everything is changing so rapidly... we are essentially still in the stone age. we really dont know shit :drunken: and there is a high mathematical probability that the universe is teaming with life we simply havent seen them yet, and they havent seen us.

What's the hurry?

sending robots to pluto and commanding them/receiving pictures and data in real time. what takes days to do now would take minutes. we would speed up our knowledge of our planets exponentially.
