Were the Cubs chided for not property celebrating a no hitter? Quiet reflection is the correct reaction.

Good angle. You should pursue that line of questioning.

Actually compared to Fiers and the Astros it was quiet reflection.

Confirmed - Claussen has a concussion.

Cue Dr. Bernstein and his talk of CTE and the upcoming movie. You know, the movie that has Will Smith. Which means it will suck.

And of course, here's the talk of the movie...

Can someone ask Bernstein why he cares so much about this topic? Why does it matter to him?

He's not a player. His children or loved ones aren't players. He hates everyone so it's not like he has some sort of altruistic motion.

Really, WHY does he care so much. Every NFL player is aware of the risks. Every college player is. Pretty much every parent of youth or high school players is aware of the risk. Equipment manufacturers are doing everything possible to develop gear that can make these injuries preventable (if possible). The NFL, former players and all manner of camps/coaches/programs/etc are trying to educate players on proper technique and enforcing rules to prevent direct blows to the head and 'repeated sub concussive trauma'.

ALL are willingly participating.

And Bernstein makes his very healthy living talking about these men who do this each week. He himself said he enjoys watching other people's children subject their heads to 'repeated sub concussive trauma'?

So, again, why does Bernstein care so much?

I could understand if one cared about the human race and wanted to be a whistleblower about cause A, B or C in attempt to save lives out of love for humanity. Bernstein is a malcontent who hates everyone - especially those who don't think like him. So why does he care?

Does he care that many of the men being affected by this 'repeated sub concussive trauma' are white Southerners?

1. He likes to use polysyllabic words, legal jargon, and medical terms like "sub concussive trauma."
2. He likes to reference articles in medical journals, PEER. REVIEWED. STUDIES., and legal precedents.
3. Please do not forget that went to Duke. He has to prove that he's better than the other folks in sports radio who either went to state schools or, shudder, the Columbia School of Broadcasting. They don't even offer a single Mandarin class there!
4. This is all very serious business. Except when it's not, at which point you're a moron for thinking it was.

Be prepared for a why do you care so much about what Dan Bernstein thinks type response.

Bernsie likes to talk medicine and law because at every family gathering he's surrounded by doctors and lawyers.

Bernsie: Did you hear my dissertation of the Kane case yesterday on the radio?

Mr. Bernstein J.D. (cousin) : Yes good job Dan, however you failed to consider the case of Kennedy vs. Louisiana.....blah blah blah

Bernsie: :(

Bernsie: Oh, there's Dr. Bernstein (cousin)

Bernsie: Did you hear my CTE discussion last week on the radio.

Dr. Bernstein: Yes I did Dan, nice, except you forgot the recent study by Yale University which tied...blah blah blah

Bernsie: :(

Terry: I think I heard about something like that. Too bad I can't tell you what my guy is saying.

I don't care. I enjoy 'hate listening'.

I'm in my car or in planes a lot. I like to listen to radio. Listening to people I agree with is bring. 'Loving to hate' people is more fun.

How so? That would more accurately describe Nas than Kanye. Let it be said Nas is worlds better as a rapper but renowned to be lazy in studio. Kanye is a great producer who is a weak rapper. I loved to hate Kanye for years (especially after that punk' episode) but he is anything but prepackaged shit. Complete asshole? Yes absolutely. Ego maniac? Yup! Good ear in the studio and knows how to work the system is also a yes.

You are forgetting Bernstein's family that's in the media business (Entertainment Weekly or some shit).:

Bernsie: Did you hear my discussion of the movie 'Concussion' yesterday:

Entertainment Industry Bernstein: Yeah, I did. Not paying much attention to it. Will Smith is the lead actor so it's gonna suck.

Bernsie: But it's about CTE and repeated sub concussive trauma.

Entertainment Industry Bernstein: Yeah, I heard that. But again, Will Smith. And to go super size on the suckage, Will Smith will be doing a Nigerian accent.

Bernsie: Yes, I know. I found his accent to be consistent with the Ikoyi section of Lagos with a slight touch of Apapa.

Entertainment Industry Bernstein: Really? I just saw Will Smith wearing sunglasses and being bad.

Terry: Well, that's just, you know.

Blue Apron has been advertising on podcasts for a while now at least a year. They must have gotten enough pull that terrestrial radio they can now afford.
