I start off by saying I don't believe Robin has a plan other than to proceed as he has all season. I also don't think the front office has a plan that they can hand down to him.

What would you like to see this month?

1. I would like to see if Sanchez can play SS regularly. It seems the thought is that he cannot. Let him prove it. He really seems like a guy who takes on challenges. His bat has been good enough to be a nice player at that position but it is first and foremost a defensive position. If Sanchez can play SS, you can then start making some plans with Johnson at 2B, Saladino as a utility and enter FA for a reasonably priced 3B. If he cannot play SS, either he or Johnson should be moved.

2. Get Eric Johnson starts. He has earned them. It is also critical to know weather he should be penciled into the rotation next year if Shark is gone. I would go to a six man rotation to reduce Sale's and Rodon's activity. However, if they want to let Shark sit in September, I'm fine with that.

3. Trayce Thompson should play every day. The Sox gain nothing when La Roche gets AB. His play next season will be unchanged by success or failure in September. Thompson has passed the first test in limiting AB to lefties. It is time to see weather you have a 4th OF or a starter in him.

Saladino should play SS that is what he is and where he belongs.

Thompson should play everyday.

Johnson should pitch.

They should sell any part they can ..LaRoche, Melky, ..the dysfunction needs to stop..why on earth didn't they trade Robertson back to the Yanks.

I'd say bring up more kids but the truth is there just isn't that many impact or even replacement level guys ready.

in the off season they need to rebuild the entire front office, minor league scouting and development team and the manager and coaches bring in outside guys... Cherrington, Gardy, or the like.

Robin will continue to play the garbage he was handed.

Nobody is takin melkman or laroche. I would rest Sale and Rodin..why waste the innings .

Laroche n Mendoza should get zero September at bats.

I'd bring up 2 starters from the minors n see what they got.

I whip shark like a rented mule this month..you ain't keepin him.

I'd like to see Thompson in center n move Eaton to right.

1) Sanchez doesn't have the feet for SS and his arm is fringy. He could be serviceable there because his hands are so good but he's not the long-term option. Keep him at 2B where he has a chance to be average to above average. Saladino can be the place holder until Tim Anderson is ready. Anderson will get every chance to prove he can't play SS because his ceiling is so high.

2) Erik Johnson was scratched from his next Triple A start. Hopefully he's in the rotation for the series in Minnesota.

3) Agreed

4) I'd like to see Kevan Smith get some starts behind the plate for obvious reasons.

5) I'd like to see Frankie Montas get some save opportunities.

I'm really trying to understand why Trayce Thompson isn't playing every day.

Then what do you do with Micah Johnson. He has earned a spot at the MLB next year

He is a one tool guy.... SPEED.

No bat below average glove and arm... I hate to say it but he is the infield version of Tony Campana.

I think he has more bat than you're giving him credit for. But I don't know what you do with him position-wise. He'll never be an infielder. He should probably be in the minors learning how to play centerfield.

I always thought he was a left fielder and he hasn't shown me anything to think otherwise.

Then he's nothing. Because you need to get more power than he has out of left. If he could capably play center (and his speed gives him an advantage right off the bat) he could be a useful player.

You can get away with having a non-power hitting left fielder if he's a big stolen base guy. Johnson should be that provided he gets on base enough.

Maybe some teams can. But they way the Sox are set up, assuming they don't make some absolutely radical changes, they have to get power from that spot.

Third base and catcher are the obvious spots where they need to get more production (and RF but I think they give Avi another year to prove himself). Eaton is fine in CF so left just seems like the path of least resistance.

Avi has shown enough to give me reason to believe he will contribute next year.

I just can't understand why a guy as big as he is doesn't hit more out. You think he would on accident. It's nice that he's polished enough to go oppo at will, but he has to learn when to pull the ball.

Anyway, I think the best move for the Sox next season is to try to put an absolutely lockdown defense on the field and see if you can get on the right side of some 2-1 and 1-0 games. That's probably their easiest and least pie-in-the sky route to success.

That is how they stabilized things this year. They were in free fall until they brought up Sanchez (even with Johnson doing a nice job offensively), Saladino and Rodon.

I could live with Avi if he hit for a higher average without the power.

Along with the defense, they need at least two more people that can hit for average. Too many automatic outs at this point.

The White Sox recalled RHP Erik Johnson, C Rob Brantly, IF Leury Garcia and RHP Frankie Montas. Micah Johnson is expected to be recalled after the Triple A season is over. Hopefully Kevan Smith will be also.

The Sox are sending the following players to the AFL. RHP Robinson Leyer, RHP Brandon Brennan, RHP Peter Tago, RHP J.B. Wendelken, 1B Keon Barnum, 3B Nick Delmonico, SS Jake Peter and OF Courtney Hawkins.

Lineups are in for tonight. No Thompson, and LaRoche batting 6th playing 1st base. SMH.

would slightly surprise me but team could finish strong further deluding management into giving it another try with same crew.

Fire everyone.

Including baseball executives.

It'll never happen though so it's kind of pointless.
