Hammel has been a great first-half pitcher the last two seasons. But he has been pretty bad after the trade deadline.

This one is over. The Cubs aren't touching this guy. He might get 17 strikeouts.

Cubs will put up several runs.

Even Arrieta would give up runs on a day like today.

I stand by my posts. I'm glad he hit the HR, but it doesn't change my opinion.

The Cubs don't have the starting pitching to get this done. They should still get the wildcard and should have a good shot to win that.

But, unless Hammel or Haren pull it together, they don't have much of a shot. I think the offense is too young to carry a team through a playoff.

Anything can happen but it's not looking too good to get far. Still should be great experience, though. Fun stuff.

He stopped wiggling his bat as much as he used to.

He's gonna be great for a long, long time.

U mad

Pretty much every Cub fan on the board posted their projections We don't need to rely on your incorrect recollection

I believe the two most bullish guys were Steve (and Bryant is right near Steve's numbers) and Hatchetman who is a Sox fan

Just jump on the bandwagon and buckle up, its gonna be a bumpy fuckin ride but were alive dammit!

He may need to see a chiropractor after that swing.
