oh shit, that dude godley has lived up to the name a bunch of times despite getting shuffled up and back between AAA/bigs over the last month or two. i always rated robbie ray but after a !!!!! start he's evened out into a 3.something pitcher and done a pretty good job of not letting that hot start get blown up to a 4.00+ ERA despite being eminently hittable over the last 2 months. rubby de la rosa is jekyll-n-hyde and he had a nice run going before one of his inherently rubbish 4-5+ ER games.... and last time out was 6IP 3ER 3K. dude is typically jekyll-n-hyde (akin to kyle gibson last year) but that ~4.40/1.29 or whatever he's got has been earned with plenty of 2-3R HRs. he loves to give up multi-run shots does that rubby (and it's pronounced RUBY and not RUBBY, ftw)

goldschmidt's power has come back some after a long dry-spell after his best-in-baseball start to the season (i still think he's #1-2 overall in fantasy baseball, and that's with pitchers included) and then aj pollock is having himself one hell of a season as he's like .310/15/65/35 right now aka #6 overall in fantasy baseball. some people call peralta in the OF a breakout star in the making, their cuban 3B/OF yasmany tomas has been pretty good, and even ender inciarte is there to do his .280/4/32/20 type #s when it's all said and done. they have 4OF and if they wanna play jake lamb at 3rd every day they gotta bench a pretty good OF to accommodate lamb/tomas... they're a fun lineup to watch for the most part so this will be a good test for the cubs pitching staff.

any news on schwarber? is he fucked up for awhile? will the cubs have trouble slugging out 8-6 type games against these guys?

are you? i think just about everyone here knows that goldschmidt is "one of the good ones" in terms of 1B and you'd take him over rizzo, and then frazier.... man if you give me first half crazy-good frazier i can see that, but he's been quite mortal in the second half to where his #s are prolly right around rizzo right now, albeit with a lower average. as of right now frazier is .263/30/77, which is right there with rizzo's .282/27/79.... but in the first half he was clearly mashing at a level beyond where rizzo is right now.

so yeah while i'd say that i'd take rizzo over frazier, i can still see there being some people who remember first half frazier say that he's > rizzo, cuz then you figure that if in the future he can hit like first half frazier and not tailspin as much on the back 9 he'd put up #s beyond rizzo.... from there i dont think anyone is arguing goldschmidt over rizzo, right?

....right? or is that where the drugs come in? =D

We need a Boyd list.

Top 10 people that are allowed to determine which members are well respected.

Bryant and Cogs should be reversed. Bryant can be pitched around since the guys behind him can't hit their weight.

Lester need to shut the fuck up about the umps or they may shorten his day for Maddon. Dude, you're 8-10 with a 3.5 REA not Sandy Koufax. Quit fucking crying about not getting borderline pitches the majority of which pitch tracks says are balls anyway.
