Will it be "The Dan Bernstein Show with Matt and Jason"?

let us hope not...I'd actually listen to both shows...two guys to put Dan in his place periodically and a baseball heavy pairing before....

I'd sooner bail Kim Davis out of jail than listen to either of those shows. Show titles "Bad" followed by "Worse".

I've gotta believe the ship has sailed for drinky as far as "Full time host". I mean they tried to give him chances. But at the end of the day, he's a dumb ass frat boy. If that hasn't changed by now, it never will. If you notice him recently, his thing is simply to be stupid - to act a fool. To act like the sports talk is beneath him. He knows he'll be Bernstein's producer for life so he has that security. He also knows he's not getting a show so he kind of has adopted this "Fuck it" attitude.

That's just because you want her to prison-peg you ...

The Dan Bernstein show with Matt Bowen and Jason Bernstein? Or not.

I don't see them breaking up Spiegel and yet another partner so soon. If that's the case then they'd fire Spiegel.

Also, while beardown stays the worst he's right that Drinky just isn't a full-time host. Though that hasn't stopped The Score before.

I predict it'll be the exact same lineup with just no Terry Boers. The Dan Bernstein Show will just have occasional 'and company' drop-ins from Drinky and, oh, Jordan Bernfield or some similar tool. Those will be the worst parts of the show, but the increase in guests will make it a solid listen.

The mind reels at the prospect of Dan hosting a solo show full time.

Mitch doesn't have the balls or the brains to fire anyone. Terry isn't going anywhere IMO.. Why would he?

My favorite show ever on the station was his 6pm solo show. It was entertaining and creative. I'm at least somewhat hopeful that Bores' exit will breathe some new life into the tired, lazy schtick he fell into.

hahahah well played there. with amattacola solo i always get this vibe like he's sneering at me in some sort of condescending/pedantic type style. it always seems like he's perched high up on some skyscraper broadcasting tower looking down at the regular folk who aren't there on his level so, *scoff*, he has to take a second to tell us what we need to know while we're all trying to call up and plead out cases like the word futile isn't in our vocabulary. i can't shake that feeling like he's got a buffer zone with us made of faux-righteousness borne of faux-intellectualism, i.e. he wants to brandish that unfuckwithability like bernstein does when matt feeds him idiot/disagreeing callers to hammer away at, its just that he doesnt have that "it" factor like dan does (cuz dan is simply way better at radio than amattacola)

i reckon bernstein gets the first pick of who he wants to replace terry, if anyone. while i'm sure a part of him would love to go solo and be THE MAN like he was sports pope west in thAT francesa mold (altho on the surface he'll NEVER admit to being like that cuz he wants to pretend he's the everyman anti-francesa/establishment, even tho we all know that at the end of the day dan sides with any corporation because SPONSORS/COMPANIES PAY HIS SALARY, NOT YOU LISTNER SCUMLORDS!!! ---- just like i've long said that dan's rosebud = he's "embracing debate" a la skip bayless / stephen A smith, except he has the audience/callers play the SAS role as opposed to having any actual opposition from his partner/s)

ultimately i think dan will still want a partner in order to have the default 90%+ agreement rate make his positions look that much more inherently populist.... not to mention it'd simply be more work if he was solo, even if it was a dan patrick type setup where he could stack his production team with 2/+ ppl to regularly chime in like the "danettes" do on the dan patrick show. maybe he'd welcome a solo gig cuz that's more $$$ for him (since they're not paying a proper partner for the bernstein show hours) and a chance to establish him as the single voice of reason who, like francesa, embraces the big business / establishment side of things because sports popes didnt get to their lofty heights in life by backing smalltime losers! oh no no no no str8up first class big business good monied REALLY.SMART.PEOPLE. til the cows come home.... i'll drink a diet coke to that!

but yeah in the end i bet bernstein pairs up with rozner or rosenbloom to add in the hockey specialty and cubs knowledge cuz the hawks and the cubs are the two big winners in town when this change with terry goes down. c'est la vie, no?

I think the Blackhawks era is over, or at least on hiatus.

Dan's solo show was decent but that was almost twenty years ago. It's not coming back. That version of Bernstein is dead. It's like pining for Steve and Gary, the Heavy Fuel Crew, Monsters, or MJH's glory years. Move forward. The Score needs to find a new dynamic that works.

Spiegs and Rozner is gun-in-your-mouth radio. Two of the most unlikeable personalities on Chicago's airwaves. I don't think either of them has ever made me laugh. Well, the fat guy shirt tugs Spiegs does on the stream are funny. I stand corrected!

Matty has plateaued. He'll probably just be a behind the scenes lifer or if he ever matures maybe a management suit.

Goff, I dunno. I don't think he's very smart. He can't tell you anything about sports that you couldn't find online. He isn't provocative. But he's also not a complete lunkhead like Joe O or Bloomenfield. Goffer could be listenable if he worked on his annoying habits and curbed his Bernsteinisms.

Whatever he does or doesn't know, Goff seems to have a passion for sports and feels like someone you'd want to talk about sports with: a novel concept for a sports talk station.

I feel exactly the same way. Someone should tell drinky that that type of broadcasting only works when the broadcaster is actually, you know, smart.

Remember when B&B used to open the show with "Without Me" after vacations and three-day weekends? The Score has become the music video of that song, except instead of making Eminem clones on assembly lines, they're making pallid fiveheaded misogynists.
