Career ending. Still waiting on that Sale injury too.

I don't know how likely it is either guy to throw a pitch and have his arm fall off, but Arrieta is definitely due to regress next year. He has already passed his career high in IP by 40. So before Elmhurst Steve puts him into the HOF, you should be prepared for him to be mediocre next year.

The Cubs aren't losing.
The Cubs have an opportunity to win a championship.
The mantra never changed.

I'm pretty sure Arrieta will be very good next year if he's not injured.

This makes no sense. A regression for Arrieta from this year would be an All-Star caliber pitcher rather than a Cy Young caliber pitcher.

The guys having THE career year are Fowler and Montero and power wise Coughlan.... they are all likely to regress... Jake is having an off the chart year... if he repeats it he will have earned the "Elite" status some have already given him (I'd still take Sale based on a longer sustained track record). He may regress some but still be a top of the rotation guy in 2016. Rizzo, Bryant, Russell should all be close to where they are now for the next few years. Schwaber is still to early to call ..we need a bigger sample to see if he can sustain. Baez has changed but again still need to see much much more before making a call. Soler is in the same boat.. he seems to get hurt each and every year ...

A couple seasons ago, the sox were also worse than the Cubs. This is season number 3 of being worse than the Cubs, and the Cubs were losing games on purpose the past two seasons.

The Sox weren't worse than the Cubs last year.

You dont get it, DB. As long as you're "trying" to win, it's okay.

It's funny that you are mocking that. Hahn and KW might be dipshits, but yes, in general, I like my GMs to at least attempt to build a good team.

Push goes to the winner of the past season. This season will be 3 in a row.

Being worse than a team losing on purpose is bad.

Real bad

Trying to win and sucking is still sucking.

Who are you arguing that to? Hahn and Kenny, and the Sox in general, have sucked recently. Nobody denies that, and I don't think anybody is saying it's ok that they keep putting shitty teams out there. But it's idiotic to mock someone for saying they don't want their team intentionally trying to lose from the first game of a season.

WWN should get a calculator and learn to use the quote function.

Ah yes, "how are we defining this," the hallmark of every ten-page FavreFan argument.
