Hostility makes rivalries. I'm also drunk as hell, Eric, so I purchased a few IPAs whilst viewing these whitewashings. Cubs are good. I welcome the NLDS, capiche?

Next year and subsequent years; the rivalry is only going to get better.

Very impressed Cubs won this series. Cardinals pixie dust wearing off at the wrong time? They still have 3 at Pirate and 3 at Wrigley. The Crew on their schedule 6 times and they've actually been playing well, surprisingly.

Exactly. Getting paid like one and being one are 2 different things.

Martinez has been an average pitcher for the last month. Never going to call it easy to go into St L and win, but of the three, today should be the W

Through a week... .286/.348/.524

I'd be extremely happy with that for the rest of his career. :)

Work to be done...but an excellent week. Only 4 strikeouts in 23 PA, 21 AB

Yes, because there is no such thing.

Do you mean a deposit?

Ticket costs of playoff games not played are refundable. Only the deposit and convenience fees are not.

I know for the Brewers in the past you have paid for all of the playoff tickets, I believe the Packers did this too, and whatever you don't use when against your bill for season tickets next year. But they would not send you back the money.

I don't know about the Packers / NFL. Being that Packer fans are generally idiots...they probably don't understand they're getting ripped off.

Brewers Non-Played Game Postseason Ticket Return Policy:
brewers.com Internet Purchases: Ticket holders who purchased tickets through brewers.com via the Internet will receive an automatic refund through a credit issued to the credit card used for the original ticket purchase (approximately two to three weeks after the last Brewers game). If you buy through the box office, you might need to email the request but either way...refund.

Only Bryant is sitting, out of the 'regulars.' Not a big deal.

Keep guys fresh for October. Sweeping the Cardinals would be fun, but the season isn't about winning a game on September 9th.

Rather see Castro than La Stella. If you are playing La Stella put Baez 5th.

Ehh.. what is his upside? You give him 100 AB to maybe be a .675 OPS guy?

Take it easy.

I'm easy like sunday morning. Also happy, that the "great" Cardinal pitcher Joaquin Andujar died today, without running into a tow truck drunk; or in a medication overdose in a hotel, or in a fireball in the Dominican Republic.

That has not always been the case. Mr. I think I know everything.

Like the shot at the Packers also.

You're right. You couldn't get online refunds of Brewers tickets in 1985.

You don't need to. You have all sorts of scouting reports and 360 plate appearances last season.

This isn't like Javier Baez that had a tough initial 200 plate appearances, but had a track record of struggling at each new level and has a ton of potential.

Tommy La Stella has a low ceiling, and has had double the career plate appearances...so you can begin to understand what you have.

I'm sure he would be a solid utility guy off the bench....left handed bat...but can he start over Castro, Baez, Bryant, Russell? Not really.

I don't think anyone ever thought he was a long term starter. But he looks like he can get on base and adequately play the infield positions.

Sure. And I'm fine with that. And it is September so it is easy to fit him on the roster.

But does he get a roster spot over Herrera or a Herrera type guy in 2016?

Hell, does Herrera get a roster spot if Castro, Coghlan and Baez now have great utility?

Either way...this is a lot more fun than deciding between Luis Montanez and Tony Campana.

Coghlan is Ben Zobrist. Way too many people get excited about Zobrist. Kansas City "won" the derby and he's just a terrible fit for that team. There's just nowhere to hide him on defense and with a team like the Royals whose game is to just grind you up fundamentally, he's killing them.

La Stella isnt that much of a low ceiling guy. He was a top 10 prospect for the Braves.

But my comment is more fueled by the hatred for the guy so quick. He's fine as a utility guy. Could end up being real good in that role.
