Just remember that just because he buys you dinner doesn't mean that you have to give it up.

For the amount of money I make, I damned well better get something for buying dinner.

Seriously, though, grody.

It would be easier if you walked around singing Pink Floyd.

And the answer is?....and by the way, as you know, if they are asking you that....well, let's just say you're in the pink - and I'm not talking about the Pink Panther and his insulation

It was touch and go for me this week - my 13 year old daughter who's had a migraine headache and doublevision for the past ten days. She has been in and out of clinics, neurologists, etc. - but after her CT scan yesterday and spinal tap today - most of the 'worst case' scenarios have been negated - so I should arrive towards the end of the remote.

Thanks for the good thoughts Boiler. The wife didn't want to get the extra tests done, but when my daughters head kept aching, her ears were ringing, her neck was killing her, she started puking, she passed out, she was sensitive to light - I thought it was time to stop fucking around. The doctor that gave her the spinal tap was a bit surprised how fast the fluid came out. I found some disturbing stuff on Google about pressure on the brain from too much spinal fluid. I wish we could have gotten an MRI on the poor kid's head, but she wears braces, and that prevents them from doing it I guess.

Sounds like you can really use a stiff drink there Grid. I hope everything turns out for the best and your daughter is 100% asap. I know all too well about dealing with sick kids and doctors and all those different tests.

Grid - I've had a couple of scares with my two kids. From my experience, you can get some good info from the internets, but most often, you'll find some really scary shit that really doesn't pertain to your situation (even though some of the symptoms might be the same).

Basically, take what you read on-line with a grain of salt and I'm sure everything will work out.

I'm sorry to hear that Grid. That is a scary and helpless feeling. The hardest part is being strong for the kids so they don't have to carry all that themselves. It sounds like you are doing all you can. I'll keep a good thought for your family.
