Like seriously what the fuck is wrong with Maddon? Strop in the 8th? Castro in for defense? There is no logic to it.

A quality start is a 4.50 ERA. Quality start is the second biggest pile of crap.

Fuck off Maddon. Way to outhink yourself. Zero reason to bring Strop in again. But I'm sure like he says "it was the right move, it just didn't work".

It was the wrong move to bring in Strop there. His struggles against St. Louis this year are well known and not to be ignored. Maddon goofed.

Clock is striking 12 on some of these pitchers playing above their expectations.

No. That would have been a better analysis a month ago.

Its what happens when you get 10 plus hits and only 3 runs. Schwarber and Coghlan both striking out with men on twice and less than 2 outs.

That too. But Lester should have won this game.

Ugh.

Denorfia in for Schwarber for defensive purposes, guess which spot rolls around in the ninth?

Also going down with Bryant holding a bat in the dugout?

Not good moves by Joe.

Yep he pitched well. Strop fucking sucks balls. Best manager in baseball outthinks himself again.

The bullpen is a suckfest. You can't trust any of those clowns. Theo is going to regret not making a move for Kimbrel. Grimm has been shitty lately. Strop has been up and down all year. Rondon has been decent for the most part, but I don't trust him in a big spot. Their lefties are a pile of suck. Would like to see more of Edwards in the next few weeks. Today was a killer. Went from gaining 3 games on the Cardinals, to only one. Better get a sweep in Philly this weekend.

Been listening on radio n caught most of the game. Russell gets a single leading off the inning...fowler comes up with no outs man on first...

Wild throw to first on pickoff gets russell to second...maddon let's fowler swing away instead of bunting Addy to 3rd??? Dumb. I can't really blame the bullpen on maddon...who ya Gona use? None are reliable ....Rondon is as close to reliable as we have..

Reds have whooped up on Pittsburgh this year, let's see reds take 2\3 n Cubs sweep these bum Phillies.

Why is that highlighted mike?

Yeah, I'm not ready to hang Maddon quite yet. I didn't see the game today, but I remember years when this was an every other day occurrence. Overall, he's managed the bullpen pretty well.

Cubs beat the Cardinals for 25 out of 27 innings. I like it.

The pens ERA is like 5.69 over the last 4 weeks...no move is going to look good when they all slump.

Ron Cey wasn't a pitcher.
