Phillies have been a different animal since the break. Three of four would be great, but I think we split. I'd say watch out for Larry Bowa, but both Dr. Ken and Spanky say they could take him so no worries there.

No, but if I find out people are making money off of it then I'll have no choice but to kill them.

Rain out and it throws the Arrietta slot movement all out of whack.

Hendricks v. Garritt

Settle down dolphin.

We all know that if Arrieta is unable to go that day, Theo (Praise be to him) will somehow acquire Bruce Chen to go out there and toss a gem to propel the Cub into the next round.

No worries.

Not terrible. They are both hipsters, anyway.

Win day has been used on MLB network quite extensively

Montero's 2015 splits against lefties: .244/.340/.467 for a .806 OPS (has a .755 OPS against RHP actually)

David Ross' 2015 splits against lefties: .139/.244/.167 for a .411 OPS (worse than his .613 OPS against RHP)

Joe Maddon...what are you doing bruh?! Hasn't Rizzo taught you that platoon matchups don't always mean a thing?

It's always the right move, it just doesn't work sometimes.

the cubs are lucky to miss aaron nola cuz he's been pretty good lately..... but then again idk if spinning 7 scoreless against the braves really counts as shutting out a MLB team.

jerad eickhoff did pretty good in his first 3 starts but then was like 4IP 5ER his last time out, so maybe the cubs can push him into edlose jackson territory (which is an annexed addition to the united states of latroy hawkins (the SP))

What is all this renewed talk about Martinez being a hot coaching candidate. Hasn't he interviewed for just about every head coaching job over the past five years only to be rejected?

Who gets the main gig first, Martinez or Parent?

Martinez seems to be like Joey Cora was, the guy you interview for appearances sake with no real intention to hire. I say this being a guy who would have loved to have Martinez four years ago.

Why wouldn't the Sock hire him then and why don't they hire him now? Too much Cub on him for Cameo's liking maybe?

Seems like the Cubs always struggle vs lefties, especially the first time through.

It is unacceptable whenever Arrieta gives up more than 2 runs in a month. He already has given up one and we're not even halfway through September. Shit. Lester should start the WC game. Arrieta is slumping.
