Given what we know today, I take Schwarber a bunch of days and twice on Sunday.

+1 accept it is twice on Saturdays!

Wow! With George Washington Rizzo, Robert E. Bryant, and Dwight David Schwarber there are a lot of generals on this team! Who is going to follow?

You're just being difficult.

Rizzo is a quiet leader. I don't see anything leader-ish in Bryant. He's just good. Ryno-like in terms of leadership.

Schwarber is an ears-pinned back leader. He may end up sucking but he wants to lead.

You must see that.

Rizzo is a leader. Schwarber too. But Bryant is more a guy who just leads by example. Not a vocal leader who motivates others through speech, but only through his play. Love the way he always hustles even on routine ground balls. Has to lead the team in infield hits.

Right on. I know Bryant isn't the kind of guy who would take an extra long lunch break to watch TV.

You can argue about the 100 Rbi, but if he gets 140 games a year, Babe will hit 30+ hrs.

If he gets 550-600 at bats, he gets both. 45 Homers and 123 RBI is about the pace he would be on for just 521 at bats. Sure the sample size is small enough that to extrapolate his numbers might be risky. but 30 and 100 are reasonable. Hell, he's got 15 homers in just 172 AB's.

It's refreshing to see someone so cavalier about having a rotten work ethic.

I'm inclined to agree, but the Sox fans around here can't put cub hating aside to see that reality.

I know. It's got to be tough when young stars for the Cubs just keep developing into really good players, rather than flopping as they wish they would and so many of their position players have. But hey, maybe our cast-offs (Mike Olt) can improve them to some degree.

Fuck you dipshit. I often work more than 50 hours a week and work Saturdays a good deal of the time (like today) and I have earned the right to take time off when it suits me.

How nice. We've gone from I only regret I have but one life to give for my country to "fuck you dipshit". It's swell to talk with an educated man.

Are you saying you would not? I've imagined you as many things but never a coward. Interesting.

Has nothing to do with it. As a police officer I was willing to put my life in jeopardy and did. But to join the military and fight wars that are begun for reasons I may disagree with, on foreign soli, for this President.....hell no. I would give my life for my family if they were in danger. That's about it at this point.

Fascinating.
Personally, though I don't particularly care for the last several presidents, I'd like to believe that our country is much more meaningful than the person at the helm at any particular moment.

Seems to be back on track. Coghlan has hit the ball hard twice with nothing to show for it. Reminds me of his April when it seemed like a lot of his at bats resulted in hard hit line drive outs. Underrated player that has been a very valuable piece.

He was showering the field with line drive outs in April!

Yes he was. Many stupid fans wanted him benched or waived. Glad Maddon was smart enough to let him hit out of it.
