Well, you are right about my prognostications for this season. I expected the Cubs to be just slightly over .500 and not to truly contend till 2016. But here they are poised to play in postseason games in 2015. Still think it's a year early to really contend for a title. But they are going to be in the dance anyway.

I feel as though he is just worn down. That streak of games with 10 K's or more did him no good. He pressed for strikeouts and threw more pitches in games than he otherwise might have. After it ended, he wasn't the same pitcher. The guy should be shut down for the season. I would welcome him on the North side if the Sox want to deal him.

Shut him down and get ready for next year.

I care a lot. It's not life and death, but I certainly care a lot. When they do win the World Series, it will be a special day and I'll be there if at all possible. I did not enjoy the losing seasons as much, but always found things to enjoy. The past few seasons it meant watching various young prospects come up to play and trying to figure out which ones might figure into the future. At this point, things are a whole lot more fun. Winning, while also developing young talent is really fun!!
