I cant recall many. Not that they dont exist but I cant think of any.

Unless you're talking about teams that added big time pitchers to the pen in September (K-Rod, David Price, Bobby Jenks)

Anyway, imo, the only chance the Cubs have to make a run is if Lester and Hammel are both great. That's a fairly sizeable IF

No. I'm just pointing out how foolish you sound. You said you believe yourself to be one of the most objective posters on this forum, and you are the one who keeps bringing up the White Sox in this discussion. I haven't mentioned them once, nor have I ever claimed to be objective.

As I said, I correctly stated that the Cubs do not have the arms to be considered a World Series contender just yet and two pages later you are still taking potshots at the White Sox.

The fact here is that you, of all people, are clearly not objective when it comes to baseball. There are 4 of 5 of your posts just in this thread that prove it.

Me too. Posting my negative feelings towards the ones I love in blue is somewhat theraputic for me though. It's this or beat up my girlfriend.

Well this series isn't starting off good. Rizzo isn't hitting shit besides pop ups the last few games. The pitching outside of Arrieta and occasionally Lester is just awful. Hammel hasn't been consistent since the break. The 4 and 5 starters are brutal. Hate to say this, but the 9.5 game wild card lead could be down to shit by the end of this week. I have given up on catching the Cardinals, that was over after the blown game in St. Louis last week. Now, depending on how this series goes, we might want to forget about catching the Pirates, and just worry about getting in.
