I assume this isn't the first divorce for either Grimace or his baby-momma. Divorce rate goes up with the number of previous exposures to the process. Anything after the 2nd and you're better off pre-paying for the divorce and locking in the lower rate.

I feel bad because you don't know how that can effect the kid...it's one thing to get a divorce and there's no kid involved, because both people can go on with their lives and not have to speak ever again.

But with a kid, you will forever have to forge some kind of relationship, and try to keep it amicable for the kids sake.

Spiegel seems like a legit dad who likes his kid and enjoys spending time with him + has a work schedule favorable to child rearing, to some extent.

Even with those pluses favoring Spiegs, all the mother has to do is show up to court, say she's making an effort and wants the kid and she'll get primary custody + child support.

I personally know that Wisconsin is 28% of the gross, I thankfully only have 2 more years.

Agree with this. While I certainly don't feel any host "owes" their listeners those kind of details about their private lives, when you constantly reference personal life things on air you certainly leave yourself open to questions about wtf is going on when all of the sudden you clam up. If he is separated/ going through a divorce, in light of all the other things he couldn't wait to get on the air and blab about, seems a little disingenuous not to share the bad also.
