Superchunk isn't exactly very innovative or groundbreaking, but they do what they do very well I think

I wouldn't say I know them. We just played that one show with those guys. They were pretty laid back. California cool.

You can't go wrong with a good Cure cover. It's a good way to get chicks.

No shit. Why do you think we all started listening to the Cure?

Because Robert Smith spoke to us?

"Pictures of you" gets pussy

i never understood why they were so less revered than the Descendents. Really great pop-punk
they also never should have gotten rid of Scott Reynolds as vocalist, he's about 100x better than Chad Price who just comes off as a douche
i saw the show they did play w/ Reynolds a few years ago at Bottom Lounge, they were great. I really wish they'd play more

Really, the songs might be better than the Descendents songs overall. But Milo has a giant personality. And personality goes a long way.

Also, and I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the version of "She's My Ex" that's on the live Trailblazer record might have been recorded the night we played with them.

wow, really cool. Trailblazer is great.
The album that's on (Allroy Sez? ) is easily the best one, there's really no filler at all
All the other ones prior to Chad Price coming aboard have some great stuff, but there's definitely filler you have to wade through

Agreed about Milo, and obviously "cred" is pretty important amongst the punk crowd, I think they feel like ALL is too "commercial" sounding compared to the Descendents. I like the Descendents a lot too, I just don't see a whole lot of difference as far as actual songwriting

Wrong! According to the version I downloaded off Limewire in 2003 this was actually done by The String Cheese Incident, or Bob Dylan, or Dave Matthew's Band.
