Its the major leagues in a game with potential playoffs implications. Its completely on Kang not expose his plant knee to the base runner. He needed to be coming off the base to avoid the slide. Chris's leg even brushed his leg on the way by the base. Its not like Kang came off the base 4 feet and this was a rolling slide with no where near the base.

It sucks for him he is done until next year, but that was 2 plays in a row he was sitting right in front of the base for a sliding cubs.

I'll take a 4.50 ERA from him today

it looks to me like kang didn't do a very good job timing that play, he needs to come across that base and separate himself from it and the incoming baserunner. he planted himself right in harms way on that one.
