I think instead you should own not being able to 'get' the idea of someone not listening as much anymore because the show has turned to shit over the past few years. Lumping me with (ugh) Smarmystein makes that clear you don't quite grasp it.

Or alternatively own that you're being intentially dumb for trolling's sake, though I suppose that is just always evident. It'd work better if you were funny. Holy shit is Douchebag=Drinky?

It all makes sense now. Douchebag is Abattaclueless.

During tranny with Larry they were talking about the new studio and the new view, etc. Terry was agreeing as if he was there, then 5 minutes later there was a fffftttttt noise and he was gone for the rest of the show. Obviously his ISDN line failed. I figure it's the same as when he agrees with Danny and confirms that his sources say the same thing Danny just did. He doesn't have sources - just like he wasn't in the new studio.

Where does Dan get this bullshit wherein he knows what is going on inside the Hawks camp? I think he just projects his own personal feelings on to these faceless loud-voiced executives. Is the Hawks organ-I-zation really that upset with Kane? He is reporting to camp after all. And, really, can they afford to be outraged if the majority of the fanbase isn't and just doesn't care what this guy does as long as he keeps scoring goals?

He gets it from whoever Fels and McClure's sources are.

Uh yeah dude they're upset with Kane. There's no way they couldn't be. This is serious stuff. That said, I do suspect that if there were a groundswell of discontent specifically from women, they would take much stronger action against Kane. I'd say it's about 5% "I'd let him rape me teehee," 5% wanting him gone forever, and 90% just kinda caught in headlights over the whole thing.

I don't like this whole "I don't care as long as he scores" attitude one bit. He's one of the most talented forwards in the world, but he's most likely a rapist, and if he is, he can't be welcomed back. Even if he isn't convicted, he'll never wash the stain out completely, and that's his own fault for his life of violent alcoholism.

li'l danny is kind of all over the place on this thing. One day he decided he was going to take a stance admonishing reporters and callers who said "Kane put himself in a bad position". In this article he basically says Kane continually puts himself in bad positions. Either the guy is a rapist or he isn't. The truth is most of us will never know for sure.

I don't think it's incumbent on Hawks management to do anything except what they believe will protect their bottom line. That is a core bernstein philosophy in every other situation. I'm not sure why morality suddenly comes into play when Kane is involved.

If they were smart, they'd put Kane in a country club "rehab" like Tiny for a couple of weeks.

What do you and Douchebag do at the B&B ALS meetings now that you're the only ones left?

It IS interesting to see the B & Bers fall one by one. Reared used to be a big time defender of the show and the hosts.

Is the "I don't care as long as he scores" attitude any different than people still buying Michael Jackson CDs and companies using his music in their commercials even thought it seems pretty clear he engaged in "inappropriate behavior" with children, or Tupac being hugely popular even though he was convicted of felony sex abuse and acquitted of a more serious charge of sodomy -- he and his friends insisting the latter was consensual, or a raft of celebrities in 2009 signing a petition in support of Roman Polasnki, or the general public apparently not having much of an issue with Kobe Bryant or Ben Roethlisberger?

If Kane is found guilty he should be punished accordingly, but if he's not it seems like his situation is less damning than most of the other people I mentioned.

My point is if people insist that even if Kane is not charged or convicted he should not be on the Blackhawks, I'm assuming those people also feel the same way about Kobe, Roethlisberger, and have gotten rid of their Michael Jackson and Tupac CDs because, as a consumer, if you're not going to consume the product that is Patrick Kane then you can't consume the products of those other people, either.

I have yet to find a show that keeps me listening and tracking more than this show. If that means I'm still in the ALS, so be it.

I've checked out of sports radio altogether since the end of June and haven't missed the noise pollution. It's best distilled through this board.

No, honestly, I haven't had 670 on my radio in months. Partly because I've spent about four of the last ten weeks on the road, but also because I just wasn't having any fun listening to the show anymore. Worse, I don't think Dan is having any fun doing it.

the thing that does concern me about this here board is the lack of first hand listeners. Everybody assumes what has been actually said on air and people build on top of other non-listeners contacts and in the end, it's like Dan Bernstein's sources...he has no idea what's being said, he just places his emotions on the situation and reports it as fact. C'mon, we can be better than Dan, CSFMB...

I would say harboring someone who willfully shits in a studio and leaves the mess for the next shift is probably not good for CBS branding.

:? it's true. I loved this show. And like others above have said it's more that I'm just not listening to as much sports radio less than finding other shows. Sports talk radio is mostly always bad and B&B were a beacon of light, now they're also bad (though for different reasons).

CBS is changing some policies that weren't in place when Boers first started there, so he's stepping down. His rights are being infringed upon.

He's done after the Super Bowl. He's hinted enough at that.

But a month or so ago Terry said that Mitch wasn't gonna pony up for them to go to the Super Bowl. So Terry doesn't get a free good bye trip.
