I actually liked him for his Harry hatred. A refreshingly honest take on a phony icon.

His broadcast work was good, but not Scully, Harwell, Buck or even Harry at his best good.

Yes. Did Cubs in 60s. Then Brick wouldn't let Lloyd become the national voice of the NHL (Dan Kelly got the job). I'm guessing that that's when Lloyd said bye bye to the Cub and 'GN.
