It is the right move. I'm sure he doesn't mind.

It is September. Win games.

It's the only clear choice. Maybe have a high-end person come through on an odd Sunday or Saturday game or something like that ... otherwise, do it like they just did; no intelligent reason not to.

I said the trading deadline as justification to make a move. I was criticized. They didn't move and are one arm short.

What 3 arms did The Giants have last year? Or the 2013 Red Sox or 2011 Cardinals.

It takes two like Rob Base

But yes a third starter would be nice

Nah, The off season is the right time to strike. You didn't think they would be this good now..how can you confidently say they are short.

Why are we acting like the Cubs will be the only team in the playoffs with great 1-2 starters?

OHHHH NOOOOO! The Cubs had a good run but they only have TWO GOOD PITCHERS! It does not matter one bit that they are 25 games over .500 with TWO GOOD PITCHERS because all the other teams have FIVE ACES and the CUBS are the only team with only TWO GOOD PITCHERS! they should have started the season with BRYANT AT THIRD instead of waiting because they probably would have won all those games and would be several games closer to the CARDINALS right now it was a TERRIBLE MISTAKE! They should have traded CASTRO at the deadline because he is lazy and disinterested and BAD AT BASEBALL and he can't play and he MAKES TOO MUCH MONEY to be not he bench and that matters a LOT because when the game is going on the players aren't interested in WINNING they are comparing paychecks and he is so immature this is NEVER GOING TO WORK!

OH MY GOD WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO this team is riddled with PROBLEMS and have NO CHANCE at success as currently constructed the PLAN IS OBVIOUSLY FAILING the bullpen is TERRIBLE they can never win with these guys except the ARE but it is just a sham they aren't REALLY winning games even though they ARE! BAD THINGS are happening they are just disguised as WINS and the house of cards is going to collapse so don't waste any time FEELING GOOD about this team because so many things MIGHT GO WRONG!

Not exactly the right timing on this one.

From what I see, most are saying the Cubs deserve to be the World Series favorite.

Neil Ramirez is our 2002 Francisco Rodriguez.

How pissed is WGN that they didn't keep the Cubs on the radio nor the same amount of games on WGN9?

I know a lot more Cubs fans...and casual fans...that are listening and watching the Cubs in the last 2 months more than they have in the past 10 years. Ratings have to be getting better.

Cmon Chris. You're not even getting 5 innings out of these guys. The fact they won a couple of those games is by far the exception more than the rule. Do that consistently and you're gonna end up with an over taxed bullpen , short bench and a loss.

Some of you are too negative and should adopt a positive approch to your Cubbies like I do.

The World Series is ours.

The Cubs haven't been getting five innings every fifth day for an entire season. All of these terrible weaknesses you keep wanting to point out... brutal bullpen, only two starters, bad defense, rookies being overly aggressive, strikeouts...

.585 winning percentage for the season.... .650 since the All Star break.
