What odds? Im the alarmist , no faith in this powerhouse team. You should be giving me odds. JORR has got my $100.

I don't get betting against your team. I could never bet against the Hawks, Cubs or Bears even if I know deep down that the odds are against them.

You aren't a true gambler, you bet with your head not heart. I'm pounding Arizona Sunday.

Yea, I only gamble on things I can control. Who wants to play NHL 16 for $100 a game?

I actually got the chance to watch this from the start, maybe second or third Cubs game I watched more than an inning all year. Listen to a lot. First impression: Jim Rose may be the worst pre-game host I have ever seen. #2: looks like a lot of the bandwagon types in the stands. #3 why doesn't the camera love BIGFAN, behind the Cubs dugout, c;mon, give us just a little of the bagman!!

Get a fucking clue.

Cmon Chris. You're not even getting 5 innings out of these guys. The fact they won a couple of those games is by far the exception more than the rule. Do that consistently and you're gonna end up with an over taxed bullpen , short bench and a loss.

Are you a Cubs fan? I like to think I'm pretty objective, but you have combatted the extreme Cubs fan by being extreme the other way. The Cubs are absolutely capable of winning a World Series as currently constructed.

it wasn't a save situation, but it sure was nice to see Neil Ramirez pitch the 9th today. His pitches had great movement for the most part and he threw a lot of strikes in shutting the Cardinals down in the 9th.

Last season this guy was fantastic! If he can come back full strength this changes things considerably in the bullpen.

The Cubs haven't been getting five innings every fifth day for an entire season. All of these terrible weaknesses you keep wanting to point out... brutal bullpen, only two starters, bad defense, rookies being overly aggressive, strikeouts...

.585 winning percentage for the season.... .650 since the All Star break.

Cool. Want to lay a $100 they don't win make the WS?

This is a weird thing to see between two fans of the same team

Rogue, I love how realistic you are but now youre negative enough to be betting (hoping?) the team loses?

Thryll have as good a chance as most teams in playoffs. Look at recent WS winners youll see mediocre 4s and 5s

And to say "Oh yea? Ill bet they dont win it all" is meaningless. People are giving them a 10% chance (10 teams in playoffs)

Anyway, whatever floats your boat. But it seems like you have gotten almost no joy out of this season at all. Coukd you ever enjoy this team? (Saying no is probably reasonable with the Cubs)

It's very odd.

Additionally, the fact that IMU would (correctly) not take the bet is not an indictment of the Cubs. You are asking him to bet $100 on one team against the field. If the Cubs have a WC game, their odds of winning the World Series would be...

WC game (50% chance)
Divisional Series (50% chance)
NLCS (50% chance)
WS (50% chance)

50%*50%*50%*50% = 6.25% chance of winning the WS.

You are asking IMU to take even money on a bet in which he would have a 6.25 % chance of winning. That has nothing to do with how good the Cubs are.

As well s Maddon has managed why he has Rosscup in the game at all, is beyond me. Strop was the guy to have in the game after Rondon was ejected.

Given the situation and the importance of the game, that may be the biggest play of the year till now.
