They're the best right now even though Bryant is a bust, Schwarber is a fat piece of shit, Rizzo is worse that Abreu, Russell is a flash in the pan, David Ross has gray hair, we paid too much for Lester and Arrieta couldn't get his 20th win his first shot at it.

The best team for a particular year, however, is crowned in late October.

I'll be happy for some of you if that team is the Cubs.

Can they be on any given night....YES.....Their hitting has been the best since Aug 1....but its not that far in front of The Mets and Pirates, who have also been hitting very well..

And the best player since Aug 1...is on the Mets.

Having a realstic chance to be the best on a Wildcard night, is all we can ask for....

and if we are going to play a shitty one game Wildcard, may as well play it here....go all in.
