It would of course work much better for a kicker ... but unless you're gonna try to make some coin by putting Scott (two T's) Norwood on there, Cutler seems to be the only marketable option.

Going to say not a big seller.

but then again Bears fans that attend games are about as Meatball as it comes in this city. They even Meatball Hawks fans that attended while Dollar Bill was ruling the team!

It is in poor taste. And it's offensive to some I'm sure. But the real problem is that it's stupid.

No, it's in poor taste. That doesn't mean anything as to whether some find it offensive or funny or just dopey - which is where I'm at on it - dopey.

How is it in poor taste?

I have to believe you're smart enough to understand the different values in play here - meaning something can be tasteless or tasteful and that in and of itself isn't directly in any way to the potential humor value.

Im not asking that sarcastically or to be a dick, Don. We are getting a little too fucking insane with this politically correct shit though. Suicide happens. Let's not all act like 4 year olds about it and pretend it doesn't. Humor is a terrific way to deal with tough subjects. If the shirt had Erik Kramer on it, it would be tasteless. It's not targeting a specific person. Anyone finding this tasteless needs to lighten the fuck up.

I think it's a stupid shirt. I would think there are about 4 million better and funnier ways to make fun of Cutler.

Now a shirt that features these images might be in good taste, funny, and worth $20...

Perhaps we've never met ... Hi, I'm Don Tiny, and I find quite a number of tasteless things funny.

Finding something funny does not have any direct correlation to that something being tasteless or not, and vice-versa.

You're co-mingling two things that are not really related, other than perhaps by the intellectually lazy who, often times, feel some obligation to be outraged as a reflexive action when they see something they find to be tasteless.

Not sure how you got that from my post. I wasn't saying, and don't think I even implied, that it wasn't tasteless because it was funny. Im saying it wasn't tasteless because objectively it wasn't tasteless. I still haven't heard one single comment in this thread explaining why it was in poor taste.

"objectively it wasn't tasteless" might be the most mindless sentence I've read on this board. No offense.
